MAIN BODY
Importance of advanced technology in healthcare
In the context of advanced technology in healthcare, it can be said that it is playing an
important role. There are several factors which are increasing competition in companies and
technology s one of them. It is important for NHS to being in a competition and improving health
of people without hurting them and making them suffer. Advanced technology also plays an
important role in capitalised care. In this regards to, it can be said that NHS is now transforming
itself into a more privately run. There are both positive and negative impacts such as it can
somehow make NHS able to make profit and reinvest them in technologies for providing
improved and qualitative services. On the other hand, it can decrease its image as since long it is
providing free service delivery (El-Gingihy, 2018).
Advanced technology is somehow interrelated to health integrated technology. In this
context, it can also be said that with the help of integrated health technologies, all processes are
being made in a timely manner. Patients do not have to wait for longer hours. As per this
technology and process, each community matron was assigned to an area of the borough and had
the task of working with GP practices, district nurses etc, to identify patients at risk of admission
to hospital and to intervene and set up alternative care plans wherever possible. It has also made
able to arrange discharge process easy (Berglas and et.al., 2016). With the help of advanced and
health integrate technology, nurses has also improved their care and decreased work load. It
directly affects their mental health in a positive manner because a lot of paper work is being
completed with these technologies by which they feel fresh.
In addition, in the context of importance of advanced technology in healthcare it can be
said that it does not only help nurses in making their paper work easy but also it allows them to
improve quality of healthcare services. It helps them in solving problems of patients related to
any type of disease, For example: dementia, which is a syndrome in which people loss their
abilities to certain extent. Due to this they cannot even perform their day to day activities as like
normal people. It affects their thinking, behaviour and memory to some extent. In this case,
advanced technology can help nurses in improving health of such patients. For example: people

with dementia require information in order to support autonomy in making decisions and in
acting on those decisions. With the help of advanced technology they are being monitored which
can prevent them against any accident and injury. Family members can take informations related
to their type of disease by making use of technology and gathering informations. It can also be
said that person centred approach also plays an important role in treating people as it makes them
feel valued and comfortable (Van der Roest, H.G. and et.al., 2017).
So, from the above discussed different case, it can be said that advanced technology is the
key of the success of healthcare.
