INTRODUCTION
Business function is the process which have to be performed on the daily basis in order to have
proper level of carrying out of the mission of the company in the perfect manner (Painter and
et.al.,2019). The firm have the hiring of the different level of specialist for performing there
several function in the firm. In this report there will be clear discussion pf the different function
and their role on the running an maximizing the success of Sainsbury.
MAIN BODY
Business function have the role from the starting of analytical to the respective product
development which is extended to sales and functional excellences which will be the
contributing in the thriving success of the organization.
Role of business function in Sainsbury
There is different function in the Sainsbury firms which is helpful in delivering the expertise
and capabilities as the to achieve best practice along with boosting the performance for the
longer term. In the other firm have the clear need to have the proper level of specialization in

business along with design the departments as the each have they been assigned as with specific
jobs and task which fallen in the area of expertise.
Role of different department
As the different area of expertise in the Sainsbury firms are such as –
Sales and marketing
The role of this dept. is to have the promotion on business by reaching out the prospect’s
potential and existing partners, investors and more. Its end goal is to generate sales and
increase brand awareness (Macchi, Savino and Roda, 2020). The specialist responsible
for the reaching the target markets along with monitoring the audience, creating the
advertising campaign by acquire the customer.
Human resource management
This is the import aspect for the large organization such as Sainsbury as there the
specialist is considered to be responsible for attracting new talents, screening the
potential candidates along with having balance among employee relations and
maintaining the optimum working condition. Hence, the Sainsbury have the need to have

development of HR department of employee with company culture and value in
employee.
Finance department
To have the balance between the finance is considered to be important aspect for the
company Sainsbury in order have the handling the task. This have the inclusions of the
tax payments filing tax returns, invoicing customers, assessing the company's financial
performance and keeping track of orders. On the other hand, this department also
responsible of calculating the wages, salaries and identifying problem areas.
Operation department
In the Sainsbury, the departments have the responsibility for developing the internal
policy and procedure in order to have management of operational staff (Kaatz, Jacobs and
Wasley, 2018). This is helps in analysing the company finances and the spending to
manage the resources.
Production department
This is the most important ape for the Sainsbury as the manufacturing good for the
business in order to bring the revenues of business. This have the responsivity for
designing the goods accruing to demand and trend of market.
CONCLUSION
From the above file it can be concluded as the firm have the hiring of the different level of
specialist for performing there several function in the firm. The proper level of specialization in
