Communication
In our daily life, people need to communicate for proper co-existence. Communication
refers to the exchange of information successfully between an individual and another person or a
group of people. It includes a person who sends a message out through a medium, the message is
then received by the audience who interprets it and sends back feedback. It is then received by
the one who had initiated the communication and he/she determines if the message has served
the intended purpose. Communication may be verbal or non-verbal. Verbal communication
means using an auditory language to exchange information with other people while non-verbal
uses body movement, facial expression, touch, gestures and other means that do not include
speaking.
In my personal and professional life, i have learnt that It is a process that is continuous,
irreversible and reciprocal. At a personal level, I speak out so that I can be understood and to
deal with various problems and situations of the lifestyle, this way I am able o get new ideas
based on the feedback I get and thus solving any issue I may have. When I speak, I communicate
my ideas to my audience and we expound on the thoughts to either benefit us or the community
at large, this has been helpful in times of conflict resolution between others and I, it has also
helped me in crisis management. I have also communicated my entrepreneurship ideas and by so
doing, I got mentorship and professional guidance in developing my idea and business at large,
