AI Summary
This assignment is an article discussing the importance of the Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol (DHCP) in network management. The article highlights DHCP's role in automatically assigning IP addresses and other communication parameters, reducing errors associated with manual IP configuration, and ensuring that no duplicate IP addresses exist. It emphasizes DHCP's efficiency in small networks and its cost-effectiveness. The article also covers the elimination of human errors, prevention of unauthorized DHCP servers, and the overall benefits of DHCP in simplifying network design and implementation. The conclusion reiterates the importance of understanding DHCP for real-time network design and implementation.

INTRODUCTION
DHCP is the dynamic post configuration protocol which is defined as the network management
protocol used over the internet protocol networks in order to automatically assign the IP
addresses and the other communication parameters in order to connect the devices to the network
with the help of client server architecture (Mikalef, Boura, Lekakos and Krogstie, 2019). The
current article is based on the importance of DHCP.
MAIN BODY
Dynamic host configuration protocol helps in reducing the possibilities of errors which can occur
at the time of manual assignment of the IP addresses. It also makes sure that no multiple holes
can have the similar or same IP addresses and it places an essential role in the management of
small networks for example the networks of mobile devices which require the IP addresses on
the non permanent basis. It has saved advantages because it allows the management of IP
addresses on an automatic basis. If dhcp is not used in the network management then the user is
required to set the IP address to each and every client in a manual manner. DHCP has an easy
implementation because it helps in the automatic assignment of the IP addresses which request
the clients for further procedure. It helps in less time consumption because it avoids the manual
configuration of IP addresses to each and every client. The implementation of the DHCP is
efficient which means it does not require any additional cost. It further helps the network
designer to avoid the duplicate and invalid assignment of IP addresses in order to prevent any
errors. It assigns different IP addresses to every user because it can create a conflict among the
devices at the time of connection and will not allow the devices to connect to the network
(Turcotte, Kent and Hash, 2019). It basically helps in eliminating the human errors while
addressing the conflict and configuration errors along with the simple types are minimised. It
also helps in preventing the unauthorised DHCP servers which offer the IP addresses to the
DHCP clients because it performs several activities to secure the networking such as validating
the DHCP messages from any untrusted sources and also filter out invalid content or messages.
DHCP is basically the client's server protocol which automatically renders the internet protocol
holes with the internet protocol address and the other details of the associated configuration
information so that the subnet mask and default gateway can be connected accordingly (Chen
and Li, 2020).
