a) Project Identification
The construction sites has very high risk of the working environment. There are always a
risk of health and safety for all workers working on construction sites. In construction sites, the
employees work at heights and works with heavy machines and dangerous materials for building
(Sanchez, Peláez & Alis, 2017). It is expected that the construction managers follow health and
safety protocols that helps in reducing the injury in the construction sites. The health as well as
safety protocols helps to protect lives of all the workers. Prevention is the first key step that is to
be maintained for maintaining safety in the working site. Vital plans have to be implemented for
maintaining the health and the workers safety in all construction sites.
Health along with safety is the most important consideration that the managers need to
follow in all construction sites. The construction sites are very much liable to hazardous situation
and are very dangerous at some times. As per the statistics, 3% of the workers in UK has injuries
related to work and 4% of the workers suffer from illness in the construction sites (Zhou, Goh &
Li, 2015). With the workers ill-health, the construction work can be delayed and workers are also
not satisfied with the jobs they are carrying out. There are many reasons of health as well as
safety in all construction sites and this particular research paper deals with all such kinds of
health as well as safety related hazards from different authors. The health and safety related
issues and their mitigation process are also discussed in this research paper that can be used in
the construction sites.

b) Research Methods:
As per Li et al., (2015), the construction sites Health and safety is to be kept in front mind
as it is the most important factor that the project managers and the owners of construction sites
must carry out while developing a building. Construction sites are actually prone to accidents as
well as hazard that will affect the workers who are working in construction sites. The authors
also specified that the accidents in the construction sites can be of different types and can lead to
construction process slow down and unsatisfactory of the workers.
Wu et al., (2015) stated that almost all the accidents in construction sites can easily be
avoided by including protocols in the working sites and those protocols are to be maintained
throughout the construction sites. The methods of H & S helps to ensure a good planning, good
design, as well as are to be tried as well as tested in the safety techniques. According to author
Guo, Yiu & González (2016), maintaining the standards of health as well as safety on the
construction sites in the legislation and regulations are to be maintained in the construction sites.
Authors stated that in construction sites, all employees and the workers are to be properly
trained with all the equipment that are included in the construction sites (Illingworth, 2017). The
construction sites has many different hazardous materials that are to be handled properly in the
construction sites. The methods included in health and safety helps to ensure a good planning,
good design, as well as are to be tried as well as tested in the safety techniques. The employees
are to be trained about how to use those equipment and in case of accidents, the employees need
to know the primary safety tools that are to be implemented.
c) Feasibility Studies:
As per the studies there are many accident related health as well as safety issues in
construction sites. As per Ganah & John (2015), working on the construction sites are risk jobs

and proper maintenance and precautions are to be taken for ensuring health as well as safety of
all workers in the construction sites. With the modern equipment and network, there are many
possible new techniques available for lessening the accidents in the construction sites. Five such
safety measures are mentioned by the author that will help to lessen accidents in the construction
sites.
1) Getting latest equipment for the workers: The workers needs to have latest equipment
and working clothes for their safety in the construction sites. There should strong boots as well
as securing helmets and all protective equipment that are to be provided to the workers on the
construction sites.
2) Implementing a drone: For large project construction site, it is not possible to keep a
look on all the workers working. Drones are the best latest technology that can be implemented
for ensuring security for the workers.
3) Installing safety app: Safety apps helps to detect the workers who are in danger. The
workers working in heights can have the safety app that alarms other if the worker is in danger.
4) Implement Safety Regulations: The construction sites should have safety regulations to
implement business standards in the working environment (Seo et al., 2015). These regulations
implements more safety and flexibility in the construction process.
5) Investing on first aid: The construction sites should have proper first aid availability as
because in case of any accidents, the primary first aid is possible in the construction site. The
business are to provide their workers with the minimal possible first aid boxes that consists of
minimum necessities.

d) Brief and Specification:
The scope included in this research paper is investigating all the health as well as safety
related issues that are possible in the construction sites. The construction sites are prone to the
accidents and helps to investigate those health related issues included in the construction sites are
important for the project manager and the owner of the construction sites. This research paper
helps to analyze different health as well as safety related issues that the workers faces in
construction sites. This construction sites needs to have preventive measures for any health and
workers safety related problems that might occur in construction sites.
This research report details deals with the Health and workers safety issues in the
working sites. There is research methods that are carried out for this research. The research
method deals with different views of different authors. There is feasibility study that shows the
alternative solutions of the research topic. There are different resources that are needed for the
research and those resources are also mentioned in this research report. The total cost of the

b) Techniques Used
The cost planning in the construction industries is very much necessary as because
developing a building is very expensive and mistake in cost planning might result in great loss to
the client. There are many factors that are to be considered for ensuring that the money is used at

its maximum value. All the factors in cost planning are to be considered for ensuing the
maximum value pf the money. The cost planning should be done as per the client budget and the
cost planning should not exceed the budget. There are many available methods that enhances
cost planning in the construction phase. The cost planning is used for ensuring that the budget
does not exceed the proposed budget. The client’s budget are included in methods of cost
planning. The cost planning methods involves looking at all the similar structures that are erected
within the time frame. The developer of project has to consult the client for the developing cost.
Many new methods have been evolved and are applied to different types of project in the
construction sector. The two main methods that are used for carrying out the cost planning is the
elemental planning and the comparative cost. The elemental mainly helps to break down the
estimate in many elemental series that are mainly compared with the estimates that are
considered later along with the actual cost that are in progress in the project. All the elements in
the elemental planning is considered as center of cost against the budget. The comparative
technique of cost planning includes the feasibility studies as well as the cost advice that are
determined as the general layout and helps to arrange the building in total cost limit that is
estimated. This technique helps to set out alternatives that are available in the market. This
particular method enables the developer to take rational designs in their individual cost and
cumulative cost. This method does not seek rigid cost that limits to design all particular elements

a) Project Management Solutions
The solutions related to project management includes methodology, template or a process
that are used in managing the project. The solutions for project management helps the developer
to deliver the project faster compared to other management techniques. The technique of PERT
and CPM is very useful project management technique that are basically used in the managerial
functions such as planning the project, scheduling the project and controlling the project. PERT
evaluation and CPM evaluation completes different jobs in the project schedule. These
techniques helps to lessen the delay in production, all the conflicts as well as interruptions that

are included in the project. These techniques that are used in this research will help to complete
the project and helps in completing the project on that time. The PERT tool in the project is a
tool that is mainly used for planning, as well as scheduling all the large projects that consists of
large number of activities that are not dependent on one another. This tool is used commonly for
continuing research as well as developing the projects.
There are many steps that are to be taken for developing PERT and CPM for a research
project. All the activities that are included in the project should have different activities as well
as jobs (Chiulli, 2018). The PERT and CPM are important for identifying as well as
distinguishing all the different activities included for completing project and list the activities
separately.
After the activities gets ready, the precedence order of the activities gets the precedence
activities and the precedence activities are to be kept determined. The activities can be done
simultaneously or can depend on other previous activities.

b) Justification of project solutions
The solution that is chosen for this project is CPM method. This method helps in process
planning that helps to define the critical as well as no-critical tasks (Collier et al., 2018). This
CPM method helps to prevent the problems related to time frame as well as includes process
bottlenecks. The CPM method is suited in projects that generally has many activities interacting
between each other.
