Introduction:
The aim of this paper is to convince the management to incorporate informatics in the
healthcare system as it will improve it significantly. Since we have stepped into the 21st
Century, Information and Technology have been the string backbone for development in all
the branches of our interests. Technologies like Artificial Intelligence and just essential data
mining can help the medical industry, which can fasten the treatment process as the medical
experts will already have the details and the history of that particular client. As per (Ng,
Alexander, & Frith, 2018) mobile phone applications can help the medical industry pursue
the best medical results. It is a device that almost everyone owns. Moreover, if technical
insight, along with useful technology, can enable the nurses to contribute to this sector. The
mission of this project is to improve our healthcare by integration of technology and
informatics in the system.
Stakeholders of this project:
The stakeholders of this project are everyone who is associated with the health care industry.
However, the primary stakeholders of this project include patients, medical health
institutions, and healthcare workers. The efficiency of any development can be estimated
with the number of people recovering at the same time when compared with before.
Therefore, if using informatics can improve the overall structure of the health sector and
improve the patients' services, it will be a victory for everyone associated with the health care
industry.
Patient outcomes and care efficiencies:
The importance of customer treatment in high-quality care cannot be overstated. Patient-
centered cancer treatment may be facilitated or hindered by information technology,
especially technological advancements. Patients may use computer science to provide critical

input to their physicians and share that information with families, colleagues, and other
clients. Patients will be able to exercise more command about their treatment with this
knowledge. Health professionals can use computer services to organize treatment and
exchange information with those other professionals (e.g., electronic medical records).
Patients and physicians can communicate in novel ways by using communication
mechanisms and information services. To prevent relying on biased or inaccurate results,
doctors should use vigilance while using digital information services. Patients will need to be
directed to relevant digital information. Identifying high-quality information that improves
(rather than hinders) patient-provider relationships is often the most challenging task for
clinicians and patients (Snyder et al., 2011).
Better Documentation of patient records
Paperwork has always considered regarded as a significant aspect of nursing practice.
However, it is now more essential than ever before in providing high-quality treatment.
Whereas the philosophy and experience of professionals, nursing standards, legal and ethical
issues, and other topics covered in specialized nursing programs all impact nursing practice,
it is significant.
Owing to mobile machines that gather relevant data in real-time and send it to medical
accounts, much reporting is done automatically. Nursing staff can make informed decisions
about delivering treatment and what updates or improvements are needed by reflecting only
at records of a patient's illness throughout the period.
Less chance of error
Every government healthcare provider's main priority is clinical care. Physicians are always
on the frontline in protecting patient safety and avoiding prescription overdoses, medication
errors, spills, and other issues. Medical imaging offers critical records that can help avoid

errors; for instance, a database system can reveal information about a potentially harmful
drug interaction or condition that would otherwise go undetected. Nursing staff may make
proper decisions based on data to keep their patients healthy.
Registered nurses licensing hearings, administrative proceedings, including negligence
litigation, are often prompted by accusations of nurse practice errors and client grievances.
Owing to the convenience of filing lawsuits electronically, the number of reports has
increased over the years. Health information technology makes healthcare providers possible
to reduce their liabilities and ensure compliance with both the Nursing Practice Act and other
healthcare guidelines by standardizing individual clinical care choices.
Better services
The nursing staff is also asked to assist with the coordination of their clients' treatment.
During treatment and at release, this also entails conveying details through doctors, nurses,
pharmacies, accounting, and other sources. Patient treatment may be jeopardized if the
relevant knowledge is not available.
Although some oppose using such computer science and technologies to deliver treatment
better, claiming that this makes healthcare coverage vaguer by replacing the provider-patient
interaction with information and analytics, there is significant evidence that information
systems enhance care (Rupp, 2016).
Technologies required in this project:
The technology required to incorporate this project is not very high-end. The team will need
computers and mobile phones that will have an application that will have all the patient's
previous data. The data will also be available to the patients, and they can see it on their
mobile phones. The most costly equipment required is a database that will have records on all

the patients, which will help improve the healthcare system. The mobile phone will act as the
linking facility among all the applications and documents (Ng, Alexander, & Frith, 2018).
The database management system uses tools named an information dictionary to keep a
record of the columns that make up a database. The data dictionary includes a list of the
columns as well as information about them, such as required fields, validity parameters, and
different data. The data sort specifies the type of information, including a name, a number, or
a period (McGonigle & Mastrian, 2017).
Role of nurses in this project:
Nurse informatics practitioners, sometimes recognized by nursing informaticists, apply
medical expertise to both the field of information technology. It's a kind of physician who is
trained in both healthcare provision and the advancement and application of medical
technology. Nurses are uniquely qualified to partner alongside IT experts to ensure that EHRs
and other medical technologies work well during the actual world, thanks to their formal
training and hands-on customer care. Healthcare information professionals may play various
key roles as healthcare infrastructure, and electronic health records (EHRs) become more
complicated. Their duties include data entry from traditional records to digital records,
creating new and updated information-based systems based on evidence-using Electronic
Health Records in such a way that they remain efficient. EHR statistical analysis can find
situations and ways in which the treatment could be changed and/or expenses could be best
managed. Collaboration with lawmakers and regulatory departments to ensure that policies
and legislation promote healthcare infrastructure and are consistent with the needs of
providers and patients. With integration and creating or applying healthcare innovations, such
as personal medical management systems, will also boost the sector. While talking about

their incorporation in the teams, it is possible that a team of nurses is assisted by one of the
Informatics Nurses that can provide information on each case (University, 2018).
Conclusion
After conducting relevant research, it can be concluded that information systems are now a
much needy tool in the healthcare industry. Even though some might oppose that the use of
information technology is not safe privacy-wise, but the benefits associated with it are a lot to
overlook at. It has improved efficiency, the systems, and the knowledge of the nursing staff
as well.
