It leverages various project management tools and techniques, including Gantt charts, critical path analysis, and work breakdown structures, alongside management methodologies such as the waterfall model, agile methodology, and lean project management. Different leadership styles, including laissez-faire, democratic, and autocratic, are considered. Interviews with experienced project managers inform the selection of optimal tools, techniques, and leadership styles, addressing challenges such as natural disasters, change management, and organizational structure. 1PROJECT MANAGEMENT ARTEFACT
Introduction
The following assignment is report on the development of the artefact for the improved
project management, leadership and organization structure. The use of various literatures has
been done for developing the understanding for the use of the various project management tools
and techniques, leadership styles, and the organizational structure used. The use of the interviews
would be done for identifying the most optimum model for the project management.
Process Model (Artefact) for Project Management
The various project management tools like Gantt charts, critical path analysis, logic
networks, pert, product breakdown structure (PBS), and work breakdown structure (WBS) are
helpful for developing the final project management. The various management techniques like
waterfall project model, critical path method, project management body of knowledge
(PMBOK), agile methodology, extreme programming, adaptive project framework, prince2
methodology, lean project management, and six sigma principles are helpful for developing the
improved functional activities. According to Anderson and Sun (2017), the possible leadership
styles for the project management are laissez-faire, democratic, autocratic and bureaucratic.
The interview with the two project managers of different experience, skill, and capability
have been done for understanding the most appropriate project management tools and
techniques, leadership styles, and the organizational structure (Kerzner and Kerzner 2017). The
process model would be developed after the identification of the most optimum choice of the two
managers. The interview helped in identifying the major issues for execution of the project are
natural disaster, change management, and chaotic organizational structure. The probable solution
for dealing with the issue of failed situations was by allowing the upper level management to
deal with the situation.
