INTRODUCTION
Following assignment is based on the interpersonal skills of a person that how a person
can improve its skills with the help of monitoring others. A person can improve its skills and can
became a independent thinker with its own potential and values. A person have to apply some
approaches in developing self awareness and self confidence with diverse context. This report
also describes about the reflective journal, it is a type of record of student learning experience. It
helps in improving the future action which is done by a person. The current analysis implies
about the importance of skill and attributes. Also it includes about the strength and weakness of
an individual(Siegel and Hartzell2013)
TASK 1 Reflective Journal
Reflective journal: A reflective file is a personal record of of students learning
experience. It is helpful in making reflection of own observation on those accepts which we
learnt form different situations. This helps in exploring the area of thinking(Baron, Lombardo
and Tager-Flusberg ,2013)
It helps in analysing the core skills and manage it in the effective manner. So, it can helps
in forecasting the future result with an appropriate skills. An individual identified those skills
which are its basic and helpful in the environment it is termed as the core skill of a person. Skills
like leadership skills, communication skills etc. are some of the skills which are helpful in
managing whole environment properly. Following are some of the skills:
Leadership skills: Leadership skills helps in leading the team effectively and helps in
achieving the target successfully. This skill helps in maintaining the balance. It is in blood and
can not be learnt from any where. A leaders should have to properly communicate all the things.
It should have to get motivated and also helps in motivating others. As a leader some of the
qualities are written below which are based on analysis on myself:
Importance of leadership skills: This skills is helpful in providing the guideline and showing the
right path. A leader helps in maintaining all the activity and a true leader always take the
responsibility of all type of failure. Leader helps in using all the resources properly without
wasting. It is the moral duty of a leader to keep a positive attitude and maintain positive
environment in the organisation. It should be creative and innovative by using new creative

thinking skills. It is very beneficial to them. Leader should have to be flexible and keep change
itself according to the environment(Derlaga and Berg, 2013))
A leadership theory states that a leadership skill is important for every one because it
helps an individual to achieve success and targets in a appropriate manner. So, all the things
should go right and accurate. But if any kind of failure and circumstances should take place, a
leader is always been responsible for that and it should have to take the responsibility of that.
I have a good leadership qualities because, I am always going to support my team mates
and always tries to support them as a leader so, less number of conflicts will going to arise. I
have a creative mind too, so, I can help in making all the new innovations properly. My seniors
always advised me to became a entrepreneur on the place of team leader because I have all the
necessary qualities which are find out in a leader.
This skill is very helpful for me in near future. This skill help me in start up my new
business where I can manage everything and introduce many new ideas and things so, my
business an survive in the market for long run.
Communication skills: Communication skills states that a person should have to use the
good communication skills so, that all the necessary and important information can be achieved
properly without any kind of problem. In every business or any world communication and
exchange of information is compulsory so, all the work can be done properly. A good
communication skills importance are as follow:
It is most important to exchange all the information properly but for this a person should
have to be good listener as well as good writer. If a person should have quality for exchanging
information properly then it helps him to provide adequate information to the other person. In
any communication process clarity and conciseness of information is compulsory. But short and
sweet information may be harmful because all the necessary information can not be transferred
properly. In any communication process confidence, open mindedness and respect is must. And
also the right medium of communication is compulsory. If the communication is flowing to the
higher authority their respect is must(Baumeister, 2013).
A good listener is can be a good writer. This statement is correct, if a person should listen
all, the things completely with full presence of mind then it helps him to write that information
correctly.

Communication skill also focus on the fluency of a person but with this fluency a person
should have to keep in mind about their audience also. So, relevant information can be flow
without interruption(Prinstein, 2011 ).
According to this fact I am a good listener. I can pass any information with the fluency.
My command over speaking is good and in also keep in mind about the another person. It is very
helpful for me because it helps me in passing on the right information to the right person at the
given time without any type of addition in it. The data is relevant and proper which is
communicate to me(Brechwald,2011)
But I am not a good writer. I am not able to write the things accurately. It is one of the
drawback for me and I have to improve it as early as possible. Otherwise it may create risk for
me.
This skill is very helpful for me but I have to work on my writing skill otherwise that
statement went wrong and necessary information can not be understand by the other person
properly. This skill is also important for achieving the targets properly.
Problem solving: This skill is very important for any person because it helps in solving
out all the problems. This skill helps an individual to sort out all the issues and adopt a effective
path for that. Firstly a person should have to analyse all the problems, and get enquire about all
the problems which are going on. So, a effective and proper way is find out to get overcome. The
effective result can only be derive if the fact through which the problem is arise can find out.
Also, the problems have to find out at the initial stage and then an individual have to start work
over on it. The importance of problem solving skills is:
It is important to find out the deviations which are going to affect the business and
performance of an individual. After finding out the deviation the appropriate method should have
to be find out through which the problem can be solved and effective result can be measured out.
It helps in improving the performance and appropriate result can be taken. Some steps which are
helpful in this process.1. Analyse the factor or cause from which the issue arise.2. Generating a set of alternatives which are helpful in that manner.3. Evaluation of best solution from all those alternatives.4. Implementation of that solution.

According to this, if I will face any situation in which I am going to face any problem.
Then I will going to follow such steps. With the help of all these steps I can solve any problem
so, that my effectiveness can be increased and it made me capable about all the situations which
may create barrier in my success. The development of this skill is compulsory, it is helpful in
performing solutions. A person should have to be creative at the time when giving suggestion.
And suggestion have to be unique in nature and acceptable. It is helpful in improving the skills.
If I am going to face any problem related to my success I will never let it down and face them. It
also helps me to fight with such situations in my future. All problems can arise barrier in success
but finding out the fact and best suitable method can helps out to sort out the issue conveniently.
This convenience helps in achieving the target and goals with the minimum time and in a
appropriate manner(Landau, Meier and Keefer, 2010)
This skill is very helpful in maintain a balance a proper coordination without any kind of
conflicts and issues. This skill helps in the growth of an individual. So all the works can be done
in a impressive way.
Analytical skill: This skill is helpful in analysing the complex and unsolved problems
and unachieved target in a proper manner. This concept states that ability to visualize, articulate
and conceptualization of all the factors which affect an individual performance and activity.
Proper analysis helps in achieving the target and goals in an specified period. This concept of
skill needs a person should have to use its ability and capability to apply logical thinking in
breaking of complex problems into components. Also it states about the situation which is facing
by the person in near future. Importance of this skill is as follow:
Analysis of everything is compulsory to find out how many barriers will going to be pass
out by a person to attain success. So, this concept is helpful in analysing the situation properly
which leads to helpful in making out all the deviations accurately. It is helpful for those who just
thinks for the future. And start analysing all the future scenario in advance to get over come from
all that. It is helpful in analysing the problem and adopt a suitable way to do the solution.
An analytical mind and thinking is one which gives a ability to one to solve out the
problems in a effective and less time consuming manner. Analysis of anything is compulsory
not an organisation but for a student also. It keeps an student aware about all the things which are
going to be in the near future like result. So, a student should have to start studying and manage
its time(Cozolino, 2014).

If I am going to do the business of anything and according to me this aspect is very useful
to monitoring out which factors are helpful and which are not. What type of circumstances I am
going to face and m,any more. So, analysis gives a brief detail about all the things and restriction
and also gives a detailed solution of all those things. This method is beneficial for me. And make
me aware about all the things. This awareness made to overcome from all the issues. Presently, I
am not so much analytical. I have to develop this skill in myself because only with the help of
this I can solve any problem and deviation without any interruption. I found that I have lack of
knowledge about the future uncertainties. The situations is not certain of my future so, by
developing this skill I am going to able about all the facts and problems. If this skill is developed
in me than I am going to survive in any situation and critically became more analytical about
who are friends in business and who are not. So, I clear out all such unnecessary factors in my
better future growth.(Kohut ,2013)
Analytical skill is not only help in the finding out the deviation and solving out the
problems. But it informed us about the things in the future like which things are not important
and which are most important. So, it helps to create a better future and growth of oneself. This
indicates that analytical skills is compulsory for everyone.
Leadership skill, communication skill, problem solving skill and analytical skill all these
skills are necessary and useful for the growth of an individual. It teach a lot that how a person
can achieve its target by using effective communication and what factors are coming to stop an
individual in its achievement(GonzalesHancock2012.)
TASK 2 Summary
From the above analysis of all the skills, it is found that I have many opportunities if I am
going to perform all those skills in a effective manner. All those skills are beneficial and
important in the performance improvement manner. The reflective journal helps me to find out
the appropriate path in which I have to work. It also reflects about some of my weakness so, that
I will going to improve those activities. So, it helps me to perform well and effective and
establish targets can be achieved. So all the strength and weakness from the reflective journal
are:
Strength: a) According to the leadership, the major strength is that it helps in motivating
the team to work with full effort and growth. So, the target can be achieved without any risk. So,
this skill helps to maintain all my work and my team work for a better result.

b) An other strength from this is that it promotes the flexibility so, it helps me to
change myself according to the situation(Foucault, 2010)
c) Fluency and command over language helps me to maintain proper and effective
communication chain. So, it helps me in the every aspect of life not in present but also in future.
d) Another importance of communication skill is that it helps in me in every
situation whenever it is need to convey a proper communication. So, effectiveness can be
maintained.
e) Problem solving gives me the strength to overcome from any situation at any
time and solve all the problems on time. So, there is balance can be maintained.
f) with the help of analytical skill it helps me to analyse all the deviations and
problems at the right time. And helps me to sort out all the issues on time with suitable
alternatives.
Weakness: a) The weakness of mine by adopting leadership skill is that, it is quite
difficult to manage many person at one time. It leads to arise many issues and conflicts.
b) Also, the duty of any leader is very hard. So, in case of failure the whole
responsibility will be mine.
c) Sometimes, due to bulky information, some parts will got miss du to work load.
So, proper information will not conduct accurately.
d) Also, the lack of writing skill leads to the failure of communication skills.
e) Some problems will not to be solved due to lack of experience.
f) Not all the analysis are perfect and same, so, it leads to take lots of time in their
solution(Baumeister ,2010).
So, all these skills have some positive aspects and some negative aspects. It helps in the
development of an individual. So some other factors which are helpful in the development are:
Argument: It is a part of communication. So, if my communication skills are great and I
have a proper knowledge about everything. So, it helps me in the positive manner. Also it leads
to promote the group discussion skills.
Creativity: This PD relates with the leadership skills. A leader should have to be creative
in its field. So, I have many creative ideas and I have proper resources to manage it then it will
going to help me in my personal development.

So, it concluded that if a person have skills and ability to manage them properly, then it
leads to help an individual to achieve targets and objectives in an effective manner.
