Title of the project:
“The current trend of Reinventing In-Store Shopping in retail industry.”
Background information:
In retail industry, this spread of Covid-19 pandemic impacted
every aspect of business, from supply chain and in store operati ons to
engagement of customer and labour. The breadth and depth of
change needed demanded that the retailers respond with innovati on,
agility and with right technology. This makes it necessary for retail
organisati on to reinvent the in-store shopping experience of
customers. Primark is one of the leading Irish fast fashion retailer
which deals in housewares, clothing and cosmeti cs. The organisati on
was established in year 1969 and its headquarter is located in Ireland.
Due to corona virus lockdowns, company is facing decline in its
revenues. The company was forced to close its stores following the
spread of virus. This makes it necessary to follow health and safety
guidelines. In order to overcome this issue, reinventi ng in-store
shopping experience can provide an opportunity to the company to
compete in the market and improve its revenues.
Reason for choosing a specific company:
The main reason behind choosing Primark as a company is that because
of spread of corona virus, the company is facing decline in its revenues. In
order to improve its revenue, it is necessary for the company to be with trends
prevailing in the retail industry and by reinventing in store shopping
experience of customers, it can improve its revenues.
