assessment, thus it is a co-operative grocery store, which has effective recognition within market
and recognised as the heart of Chorlton. The headquarter of the firm is in Chorlton-cum-Hardy,
Manchester, England. As a worker’s co-operative business, it is effectively handled by its by its
member/owners democratically, who run the business with a flat management structure and with
an equal rate of pay. The company was founded in the year of 1996. However, Unicorn Grocery
has an effective turnover of around £7 million. As well as the business is also having around 65
co-op employees plus casual staff. Thus, the company mainly deals in selling unpackaged
organic fruit and vegetables, basic dried ingredients, prepared foods, chilled and delicatessen
goods, organic bread and alcohol and environmentally friendly body and household products.
