AI Summary
This report presents a comprehensive incident response plan designed for an office fire scenario. It begins by emphasizing the importance of preventative measures, such as non-combustible materials and readily available fire extinguishers, to minimize the risk of fire breakouts. The core of the report focuses on stakeholder involvement during an emergency, detailing the roles of the emergency cell, which includes using alarms and guiding employees to safety via escape routes; firefighting personnel; employees trained in first aid and CPR; medical professionals; companies providing temporary equipment; banks for financial support; and insurance companies to cover damages to furniture, equipment, and employee belongings. The report underscores the need for a well-coordinated response to ensure the safety of employees, efficient firefighting, and a smooth recovery process, including financial and logistical support to resume office operations as quickly as possible. The references cited support the strategies discussed in the report, providing context for emergency management and situational awareness.

2IR PLANNING
A sound IR planning is needed so that there can be a proper, easy, quick and effective
method to manage and tackle the incident. The event that will be discussed here is that of a
sudden breakage of fire in any office organization. There are many safety measurements that are
to be taken by the by the members of the Incident response planning committee. There can be
many damages starting from that of the damage to the furniture and also the employees.
However, there must be safety measure already present within any companies or office
organizations that will not give any chances for the fire to break out. There must be
noncombustible materials used in the office and there must be fire extinguishers kept ready so
that the fire can be tackled (Webber, 2015). However, in case of any emergency fire breakouts,
there are many stakeholders that are to be involved. The first stakeholders are the emergency cell
people. The employees who are in the emergency cell are very important because they will be
helping to calm down the situation and assure the employees that they are safe. The fire alarms
are to be used immediately so that enough time is available for taking the necessary actions. The
alarms will be more or less automated ones. Else the employee at the call points must be
instructed properly. The receptionist or the help desk personnel must immediately call the
security in charge and ask them to open all the shortcut escape routes. This will be helpful
because at the time of the fire, the most important thing is life safety and people run here and
there in order to save their lives. So, all the employees of the office will be getting out of the
building through the escape routes and will be taken to a safety. The next and the most important
stakeholders who are to be involved next are the firefighting personnel (Li et al., 2014).
The next important stakeholder who is to be involved here are those employees who are
trained in first aid and CPR. This can happen that some of the employees are rendered senseless
or are injured due to the inhalation of smoke. So, CPR might help them to recover from this

state. After the first aid has been given, then a doctor has to be called for. There can be some
employees who might be severely injured. So, the immediate assistance of a doctor is of utmost
importance that time. It is after this that the different company is to be contacted who will be
able to give this fire affected office with some of the equipment so that they can resume working
soon. In order to make sure that the working of the office must continue and must not affect the
present working of the office in any way (Moody, Moody & Wells, 2016). It is for this reason
that help must be taken from a different office or any company who will be granting the furniture
for at least some days (Haddow, Bullock & Coppola, 2017).
The next important stakeholder who is to be involved here is the bank who will be granting
loans. Financial support is of utmost importance because this will help in restoring the fire
affected office to get back to normalcy. Involving the insurance company is also of utmost
importance as it will help in getting the damaged furniture, the cars and the affected equipment
of the office compensated. It can also happen that the cars and the other valuables of the
employees get damaged in the accident. Thus, the insurance company is of utmost importance
during this time.
