This project plan outlines the development of an Indigenous Cultural Awareness Training program at CQ University, designed to increase awareness of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander history, culture, and language among staff and students. The project is scheduled to coincide with NAIDOC week in 2019. The plan includes stakeholder analysis, identifying key stakeholders such as the project team, SET committee, NAIDOC, the local Aboriginal and Islander community, and CQU staff and students. It assesses stakeholder engagement and outlines methods for obtaining expert judgment. The plan also addresses requirements management, including the selection of appropriate opening statements, requirements gathering, and prioritization. The project scope is defined with a work breakdown structure detailing training content and delivery modes (online and face-to-face), along with a WBS dictionary providing cost estimates and timelines for each task. The schedule includes activities for requirements gathering, planning, and the development of online and offline training programs. The project aims to successfully implement the cultural awareness training, increasing knowledge and potentially inspiring similar projects at other universities.
