INTRODUCTION
Community development is considered as process where individual come together in
order to take action on what is important for them. This will generally rooted in belief that all
individual must have proper and appropriate access to well being, wealth, health, opportunity and
justice (Abas and et.al., 2020). The respective report is based on the evaluation of indigenous
community development project which is conducted by government in order to support the
community in effective manner. Topics covered in respective report are background of
community, issues or aspiration which the project seek to defined, outline of project and
stakeholders who are involved in project. In addition to this it also include strengths as well as
limitations of related to the project of indigenous community development.
MAIN BODY
Indigenous people is also known as first people, first nations, native people,
autochthonous people or aboriginal people at some places. These are mainly a ethnic group
which are generally original as well as earliest known as the inhabitants of a specific area.
Moreover, indigenous population are also determined as the community which live in or they are
attached to geographically distinct traditional habitats or ancestral territories. They generally
defines themselves as the being parts of a specific or distinct cultural group which are descended
through the group who are present in area before the modern states in which developed as well as
current borders outlined. Respective people or community are mainly maintaining the cultural
and social identities, social, economic, cultural and political institutions as well as they are
separated from the mainstream or specific dominants culture or society (Durán-Díaz,and
et.al.,2020). Around the world there are several indigenous community which who leave
differently as compare to other communities such as indigenous people who leave at Native
American of the United State. Along with this, another example of this is Aboriginal and Torres
straits island community in Australia. It is determined that indigenous people experienced
diverse range of concerns related with its status as well as interaction along with the other
cultural group and changes take place in its inhabited surrounding or environment. Several
challenges or issues are specific in respect of specific group whereas other issues are commonly
experienced by people. These challenges or issues are related with cultural and linguistic
preservation, ownership and exploitation of natural resources, land rights, environment

degradation and incursion and many more. Interaction among the indigenous as well as non
indigenous societies end to end related to history and contemporarily which has been ranging
through outright conflict, complex, subjugation to several degree of cultural transfer as well as
mutual benefit.
Indigenous communities as well as organisations involved in the management of a broad
range of programmes, businesses and services that include several aspects such as development
by adopting partnerships with the external organisations as well as funding arrangements from

arrangements along with the government or any other firm where success is dependent on
trusting and strong relationship. It is also determined that developing trusting relationship takes
time as well as programs thrive when their will be strong individual relationship among the key
players in the partner organisation (Jokhu and Kutay, 2020). In respect of this several factors are
undertaken such as regular face to face meeting or visits, phone calls and many more, the main
purpose of these activities in respective program is to stay in touch with indigenous people
effectively for their development. There are numbers of government as well as non government
publications guidelines that how to develop engagement with the indigenous community people

are focusing on community strength instead of deficits, it is also to promote community by
working with existing indigenous leader at workplace. In this it is also essential to make proper
engagement which is accessible by using proper language in clear form as well as it is also
essential to seek feedbacks from the both indigenous peak bodies as well as community members
because this will help in developing trust in effective and appropriate manner. It is also essential
to be flexible in funding as well as timing in order to be conduct activities related to supporting
to the indigenous community or people.

Stakeholders are considered as person or group of person which are vested interest in an
organisation and its operations as they can either impact or be impacted by the business
operations, functions and performance (Macniven and Esgin, 2020). There are several
stakeholders of a company or related to a programmes such as government, trade associations,
communities people, suppliers, customers, media, employees or staffs, investors and many more.
Moreover, in respect of community development programmes there are several stakeholders such
as community groups, developers, government workers or the agencies they symbolize, business
owners, commission members, residence, neighbourhood leader, commission members and
many others groups which help communities to draw resources. In respect of Indigenous
community development programmes there are several stakeholders are related such as

specific aspects such as they must been strategic in the developing as well as nurturing

contribute to the achievement of objectives and they also adopt a robust negotiating style in order
to contracts realistic for its company. It is also effective to form proper relationship in respect of
local government agencies, companies and any other community groups.
There are several benefits of indigenous community development programs attain by a
community, government and organization. When a companies conduct community development
programmes they able to enhance enhance their goodwill as well as market value which help
them in attract more and more audiences, client and investors in the potential marketplace. In
addition to this, when government of a nation implement different programmes in order to help
and support indigenous community they able to motivate as well as encourage them to support
them in the election (Reed, Brunet and Natcher, 2020). Moreover there are numbers of benefits
gain by people of indigenous community people such as they able to get jobs opportunities in
several companies as well as they also get opportunities to enhance their leaving standard. There

are also several strengths which are attain by indigenous community people by attaining
development programmes for them such as they get equal opportunities at the workplace as well
as they also get opportunity to take part in decision making process (Santiago Jiménez and
Barrios Flores, 2020). Along with this, by the indigenous community development government
able to improve their society conduction as well as it also leads to enhancement in the economy
of nations as all people contributes to the development in effective manner.
On the other hand, like every factor has both positive as well as negative impact similarly
indigenous community development programmes also have limitations such as language barriers
because the indigenous people use local language for communication as well as in several
religion these people also not able to understand other language (Staines and Moran, 2020). So
due to this issues or limitation indigenous people and other community not able interact they
which impact on the program because it will not conducted in proper way. In addition to this,
indigenous people are less educated due to which there will be high chance that they not able to
understand strategies which are developed by government and other parties for their
development. While this another major challenge is that indigenous community people highly
respect their culture as well as religion which means they not like to opt change it. So when
government or other community try to modify or enhance it they may experience conflict at huge
level which impact on society (Toombs and et.al., 2020). Along with this there is lack of uniform
understanding due to which government and other community not able to convince or interact
with indigenous community people in effective manner.
CONCLUSION
By conducting analysis of above mentioned topics it can be determine that around the
world there are numbers of indigenous communities who need support so that they can leave
their life in effective and appropriate manner. In respect of this there are numbers of programmes
develop as well as run by government in order to support indigenous community and these
programmes are covered several areas such as employment, education, food, health and hygiene
and so on. There are several ways through which a person or an organisations can support
indigenous community such as provide job at firm, involve them in planning, support in
education and many more.
