I started my case study assignment by first reading and making sure to have comprehended the
objectives and the outline of the case study provided by the professor and pinpointed in the
marking guideline. Secondly, I selected the right case study candidate from the provided ten case
study candidates. My criterion for the selection was the availability of the resources as well the
familiarity of the Company. I choose Amazon because of its remarkable domination in the e-
commerce sector and its untamable expansion to other areas. I wanted to understand what
opportunities exist for Amazon to growth and the challenges it faces in its mission to expand. I
then started locating the necessary information necessary to meet the outlined objectives and laid
out an outline. After, the framework, I formulated and drafted the final case study document.
I decided to get my information on my chosen case study company through the internet because
reaching out Amazon was going to a process and properly unattainable. I attained information on
Amazon by browsing on the Amazon website, researching previous case studies on Amazon.com
Inc, Amazon's annual reports, researched and read white papers and journals on Amazon. I also
watched a few videos on the Amazon strategies, customer's feedback.
As I look back on my case study and the preparation process, I am so much amazed to
find that I learnt a lot from the research and the drafting of the case study on Amazon.com Inc. I
grasped a lot of details and knowledge on the strategies which have made Amazon, an e-
commerce giant as well as the challenges it faces. I finished the case study before the stipulated
deadline. During all process, there were some positives which helped me to complete the
assignment on time. Also, I faced some challenges and drawbacks and issues I have to correct for
the next time I undertake such a case study assignment.

First, I will pinpoint about the positive things which were very helpful to me in finishing these
case study. I was very clear of my aim and objective to attain. Also, attaining the required
information was an easy task, since it was just browsing from the internet.
My daily duties were too tiring and hectic, and on some days, I was unable to research on the
case study. Some of the difficulties, I faced when undertaking the research was the presence of
too much information on the internet and unable to verify them as well as hard to filter to come
up with cohesive and accurate information on Amazon.com Inc.
I thought I could clear the Case Study within a few hours since it was researching online through
the Amazon's website, other case studies, white papers, journals and watching few videos on
Amazon's strategies but that was not the case, as it took me a couple of days to research,
formulate and research the case. But, now I realize that if I wanted the best out of this
assignment, I would have prepared more, organized and allocated enough time.
