INTRODUCTION
Leadership and management is the main part of any organisation where both person are
playing different roles and responsibilities that helps to improve the organisational productivity
and profitability. Managers are identifying the goals of organisation and allocate the roles of
employees so they can work effectively and properly. As we know that employees are the assets
of company who are contributing in organisational activities and performance by giving their
efforts that helps to attain the business goals and objectives. This report is based upon a leader
who is Alex Gorsky who is playing important role who handle the situation which arises in
organisation and maintaining profits. This report will help to increase knowledge about
leadership and management which improves business performance.
MAINBODY
As I was responsible to create a presentation on Alex Gorsky and while completing it I
was very confused because I was not aware of his achievements and work starting at stating of
this project. In this situation I decided to use effective approach and management theory that can
help me out to mitigate the risk of lower parks in project. I was the leader in the group which was
formed by lecturer. Herein, leaders are also important who understand the problems of projects
and other team members. I was unable to coordinate or communicate with other members due to
which they do not share problems and not complete the task which reduced the efficiency. In this
situation I used behavioural approach which is used to maintain the good behaviour of
individuals. In this approach leaders and managers behave in good manner and motivate
employees to work effectively. Moreover, trait approach is used in completion of the project
which states that manager and leader are having different skills and traits which helps to face the
challenges and problems effectively in order to improve the business profitability. By using this
approach, I was able to determine that how Alex try to mitigate the low productivity problems
and challenges which also helped to increase profitability. Leader are important who understand
the problems and provide a good solution which helps increases organisational productivity.
Apart from this, path goal theory is also used by leaders such as Alex used to decrease employee
turnover and improve the organisational performance. The leaders are providing assistance and
support to face the problems and maintain good profitability.
To improve the productivity by mitigating situation Gibbs model is used that is defined
below:

Description: While studying in the college a group task related to preparation of
presentation on Alex Gorsky who is one of the main leaders in current era. He always wants ed
to improve their productivity as it is the part of the organisational goals. According to me, to
improve the productivity the efforts of employer as well as employees are required who work
together in order to bring out a favourable result. The role of the leader is to motivate the
employees as I get immense advantage out of it because I along with my team members have to
participate in the turbulent environment. Similarly, manager to communicate the desirable
messages in order to maintain the transparency. As to improve the productivity and profitable
margin team members place and essence role so they are the core elements that are involved to
improve the situation of an organisation. Although it at the times can cause chaos, conflict to
modify the result if actions.
Feeling: While working on the project I felt that it is very difficult to gather detailed information
of Alex because he is such a famous personality. Therefore while completing it I have to go
through both positive as well as negative feeling. The motivation from the leader as well as
management generated the awareness to carry out the task in desirable manner due to which I put
it use efforts to attend the targets and reduces the chances of the performance gap. It helped me
to maximize appropriateness of project and also improves my personal skills and capabilities
which simultaneously helps me in driving favourable feeling. But on other side, the pressure of
adopting the changes leads to the immense pressure in terms of acquiring new working pattern
which at times let me felt depressed. Even my team members at times felt dejected while
acquiring competitive targets but to make the situation possible leaders immensely helped in
maintaining our enthusiasm level.
Evaluation: Initially, the pressure to complete the project on time which was difficult phase for
ball of us including me and team members main reason of it was continuous changes in working
patterns of project. I and my team member hesitated before adopting the new techniques because
it generated the risk of lower efficiency of project. Along with that close supervision of tutor
leads to the immense pressure which possibly leads to undesirable pressure. Further, later on
once we became habitual of the changes my experience in improving the quality of project. I
contributed my efforts to attend the predetermined objective. So, my overall objective was
positive as I was the participant of the competitive team which let us to bring transition, also
presentation on Alex Gorsky who is one of the main leaders in current era. He always wants ed

desirable but once I adopt the changes once I participate to maximize the profitability of the
organisation it helps me in developing positive experience. While carrying out my
responsibilities the support of team members as well as tutor helped me inculcating new skill and
updated my knowledge. The whole procedure helps me in in building up new learning from the
situation which I can apply in other future situation also where I can complete all the future
projects on time within dynamic environment of the university. Like, I and my team member
work overtime time to effectively participate and resolve the situation. The role of leader and
manager to contributed in building the positive experience and helped me to learn from the
mistake now next time I will adopt the changes without any hesitation
