Introduction
The study is a reflective narrative of my involvement with a group that was set with the
task of entrepreneurial audit of an organization. I reflect upon my participation in the group
processes for entrepreneurial audit of the Greenhouse Sports Company. The company is a non-
profit organization established in 2002. The person who started the organization was Michael de
Giorgio. The company organized high-quality sports events focused on promoting healthier
lifestyles among all the students of London. The focus of these events was to develop essential
abilities among the students that were mainly from underprivileged communities. The important
aim of the events were to develop them mentally, socially, physically and emotionally. The audit
aimed to help the organization to develop sustainable growth strategies for the future.
The group process and journey
The group process was very important as it was directly connected with the success of the
Greenhouse Sports organization. The programs that the organization undertook focused towards
changing the lifestyles of youths, mainly students in London. I and my team’s work was
important as we were set with the task of evaluating, analyzing and undertaking activities that
focused on the future growth strategies of the organization. According to Allen (2015) the key
factors that should be considered for establishing better control over large tasks are outcomes
that are clearly defined and reminders that are provided through regularly reviewed trusted
systems. As the organization was an NGO there were various significant aspects of its functions
that needed to be considered for the effective analysis of the Challenge. I faced some initial
problems with the methods that were used for the project. The group process incorporated
assigning of roles to specific individuals to enhance the prospects of a unified team engagement.

important functions. I had to attend the session in which these functions were carried out. The
group process was enhanced through proper coordination. For this the group relied on the usage
of effective technology, data management and efficient reminder systems. According to Senge
(1991) most of the issues that people face while completing tasks is due to the inability to
incorporate systems thinking. System thinking uses a holistic process to understand given tasks. I
took to help of this process to make my contribution worthwhile by taking guidance from the
team. I engaged in activities of survey gathering. I interacted with the people and had discussions
with them in relation to what the organization was planning to do and how it would affect the
community positively. The authorities of the organization were very much understanding and
coordinated very effectively with us. I contributed to the process by taking significant roles in
both the survey procedure and the meeting with the authorities. Some of the most important
things that I got to learn from the activities were related to the various methods that were used
for the analysis. I got to learn about methods such as mind mapping and brainstorming. Mind
maps are graphical ways in which ideas and concepts related to a particular study can be
effectively presented. It helps to essentially structure the information for better analysis
considering all the vital ideas that are connected with the study. Another significant method that I
got to learn was Brainstorming. This method was utilized as new ideas needed to be formed in
order to help in the formation of strategies to gather information for Greenhouse. I found that
visualizing the ideas is important as it created an environment of clarity concerning all the
significant aspects that need to be developed. Brainstorming helped me to create a portfolio for
the organization through which the group was able to sort out the major ideas and link them with

organizational environment. I considered interacting with the organization as a very big
responsibility. This was because I was committed to the cause of both the organization and the
group at the same time. The higher authorities of the Green House Sports Organization were very
considerate and friendly.
Understanding the organizational philosophy was an important part of the task that I and
my group were assigned. In the opinion of Maurya (2016) startup businesses should know what
to measure as this can ultimately govern their performances. Business model canvas according to
the author was a good way to start as business as it covers all the metrics that can affect the
organizational progress. In case of the Greehouse sports, it was still a startup with relatively
more marketing experience. The interaction helped me to understand the views of the authorities

were interested in discussing the proceeds that we received from the survey and the analysis. I
was able to greatly develop my communication levels. They maintained effective communication
with the group throughout the process of gathering information and analysis (Frederiksen and
Brem 2017). Moreover, my focus was on gathering essential insights about the needs of the
management.
Their philosophy of operation was important for the group to know as that provided us
with the kind of sustainability recommendation that would be the best for the organization.
Firstly, the organization said that they are not much focused towards marketing. From this the

can only be understood through proper interactions (Ireland, Kuratko and Morris 2006). I learnt
significant lessons about the role of leaderships in determining the effectiveness of
organizational systems.

organization in continuation and extension of its digital marketing functions should keep a
