REFLECTION 2
Introduction
The reflective report is based on a digital marketing module to include an individual
reflection of the experience with the module. With the help of this reflection, I will explore
all theoretical perspectives for providing evidence and significance of new knowledge
acquired in the module. I will also include an element of critical self-appraisal in terms of
learning that occurred as an outcome of the team-process. In doing so, I will use the learning
log which was prepared during the module.
Reflection
While learning into this module, my knowledge and skills got updated and nurtured. I would
like to mention our teamwork and team-harmony which allowed all of us to become
successful in the group project. We were four students in the group for completing the project
on digital marketing. Based on (Chaffey & Ellis-Chadwick, 2019), I believe that the digital
marketing project was completed because of the team-work and contribution of every team
member of our group. While completing the long digital marketing group project, every one
of us contributed the best of their knowledge and capabilities (Price, 2020).
My personal experience of working in the group went well and encouraged me to use my
team-work skills in future career and professional development. In addition to that, while
preparing a previous digital marketing assignment, I had to work with the team. Hence, I got
to learn personal development skills such as collaboration, cooperation, team-harmony, time-
management, active learning, cultural intelligence, and emotional intelligence as well. The
group work allowed me to learn the significance and value of diversity in a group,
organization and across the world (EYR Team, 2018).
As mentioned above, I learned about cultural intelligence and diversity with the help of my
culturally diverse group members. Based on (Dodson , 2016), I noted that all four of us were
from different countries and thereby belonging to diverse cultures. Such an environment
made me realize that knowledge and learning development is not dependent on our culture
and countries but it only requires talent and capabilities. I also observed that every group
member was having different IT skills which allowed us to achieve success in the digital
marketing project. In general, a team or a group can work well because all the members

compensate each other’s’ qualities, capabilities, knowledge, and skills. Likewise, we all
worked together as a team and became successful (Moon, 2015).
In the context of successful team-work, I learned a lot and also found myself. I am writing it
because I never knew my skills like critical thinking skills, problem-solving skills, self-
motivation, and effective time management (Boud et al., 2017). Thus, this self-reflection and
digital marketing project made me realize the importance of group work as well as my
strengths, weaknesses, and opportunities for future career development (Price, 2020).
Moreover, the people whom I worked with, were knowing different languages and possessing
different cultures. Initially, it was difficult to cope up with such a situation, but later we all
learned how to be a cultural intelligent person in reality. I had to learn some languages to
some extent and also I saw different levels of English language. While making the digital
marketing project on Tourism in Northern Ireland, I observed that social media is a great way
to conduct meetings online while managing time effectively. As per the team-work theory
given by Tuckman (Bumann et al., 2012), all group members went through the different
stages of group development include forming, storming, norming and performing. I also
learned about different theories of team-building and teamwork in order to comprehend
certain procedures, circumstances, as well as behaviours.
In this way, this module gave me experiential as well as reflective learning all across the
journey of the module (Chaffey & Ellis-Chadwick, 2019). I learned how to plan, design, and
implement the Digital Strategy in tourism with the help of the Northern Ireland project. As
per my evolved knowledge and opinion, cultural intelligence (CI) is used in education,
business, academic research, and government projects. Based on this module learning, I can
now reflect that CI is the capability to related as well as work efficiently across different
cultures (Bumann et al., 2012).
Conclusion
In whole, this reflective report has successfully included my personal views on team-work
and group development in technical projects. Thus, based on learning acquired in this
module, I will be able to work as a great team-worker and efficient leader in future group
projects. Lastly, this module has taught me the significance of reflective learning and practice
from the perspective of future career endeavours.
