INTRODUCTION
The rise in the technology have persuaded people to opt for reformed marketing and
communication platforms so that goals and objectives of a business could be fulfilled
(Armstrong and et. al., 2014). The technological revolution have redefined manner in which
interaction between individuals take place. The principles in this domain have transformed as
well and have emerged to be more effective, transparent and change oriented and selective. This
assignment takes into account personal reflection taking into account personal experiences and
thoughts during the group presentation.
MAIN BODY
Group presentation involves collaborative efforts of number of people which assure that
it is delivered in the best way possible (Zepeda, 2013). The individual reflection takes into
account a detailed description on the manner project have been fulfilled. I happen to reflect upon
learning and identifying various segments of this group presentation and manner in which it
went. It was a collaborative efforts by me and my colleagues which happen to went decent but
we were hoping for something exceptional. In my opinion, group presentation went well
surpassing expectation of the mentor and measures which were taken by us proved to be
somewhat fruitful. The topic which was given to us was “Principles of marketing and
communications in a digital world”. It was a crucial topic as there is a latest trend for businesses
to opt for contemporary tools of marketing.
In my experience, I believe that the content which has been selected by us for
presentations was appreciated by our mentor. The product which was chosen for the presentation
was my idea i.e. Samsung UHD TV. The reason for the same as there technology is
revolutionary and there are innovative measures combined with it so that better growth and
profitability could be achieved. Product chosen for the presentation can be referred to as first of
its kind 'Curved TV' and have won many awards for its UHD picture clarity. I personally think
that the product was the right choice for this presentation as it is well balanced between members
of the team. This product consist of numerous aspects such as technology, innovation, demand
and favour-ability in the market which is further divided among team members and emphasized
individually. I experienced a right collaboration among team members which is one of the
crucial factors for successful accomplishment. The major reason for timely completion of the

same is leading activities were prioritised and being selected by each member according to there
area of interest and expertise. The time management skills acted as a major place which ensured
that all grounds of marking are fulfilled in the best possible capacity.
However there are instances which, I think, shouldn't happen as they did not go well with
the presentation. The primary shortcoming which was ascertained by me is that data which has
been presented in group presentation is that research on the subject matter was not detailed. Due
to time and resource constraint depth in the data was missing. If we had more time and
resources, presentation could have been better. Another factor in my opinion that hindered our
presentation is that lack of experience as we were not very inclined to opt for such endeavours on
a regular basis which definitely impacted manner in which task is delivered. The insecurity and
nervousness relating to giving out presentation could be seen on our faces and emerged to be one
of the major weaknesses (Chiong and Jovanovic, 2012). Their is a need to focus on such
activities with which I am disappointed so that they could further be improved.
I perceived that I have contributed well to our effort of group presentation. The selection
of product was recommended by me and further improved by my colleagues. I attempted to
conduct some research onto identify a right mix of technology and innovation so that
presentation could be justified. The efforts were encouraged and supported by other members in
a team presentation. The another reason which persuaded taking up this product is that it is
relatively a new concept in the market and organisation believes that it will drive industry growth
(Global Curved Televisions Market Trends, 2017). This powerful product is well appreciated by
people who aims to gather a premium viewing experience along with smart features and curved
screen. I would be failing on my part if I don't recognise efforts of my team member in this
collaborative encounter. They also contributed exceptionally to the group presentation and lead
to decent performance based output. Where I was the one to churn out the idea and conducted a
basic research my team members solely took up the task to collect relevant data on the subject
and preparing presentation in most refined and presentable form. In my opinion I believe that our
team effort were successful in delivering presentation in the best form. It can be said that this
analysis of personal experience assures unearthing of areas which were untouched and must be
taken into consideration so that presentation which is to be delivered in the future could be
carried out in an improved manner.

Upon reflection I have identified that there is a crucial need for exposure in domain of
research and data collection as we faced biggest problem in the same. The lack of experience in
giving out presentation should be countered with more practice and taking up initiatives so that
required confidence could be gathered. I believe that nourishment of this skill will reflect when
giving presentation and improve it manifolds. The another aspect which could be improved is
that data on the subject matter is to be collected as it emerges to be more helpful in making an
impression in front of mentor. Minor conflicts which are encountered are to be resolved in an
productive and transparent manner so that better performance could be delivered (MacVaugh and
Norton, 2012).
CONCLUSION
It is very important to conduct personal reflection so that this assessment helps in
identifying features which went well and factors which challenged this group effort. It can be
said that prioritising and equitable division of task helped in giving out right performance. The
another major factor is collaboration which lead taking out right output from collective efforts.
There have been some shortcomings which were encountered along the way. The primary issues
which was encountered is that there is a lack of in-depth analysis on the subject matter as there
was only access to the secondary sources so data collection such as magazines, articles and
journals which carried a direct impact on results attained. There areas are required to be
improved so that better results could be achieved.
