INTRODUCTION
Business is a representation of entire entity that will have to be associated with certain principles
as well as formulations. There are various speculations that are operating in the business
environment and every speculation can be won over with the right amount of knowledge and
skills that are a part of organisational upliftment (Tseane-Gumbi, 2018). The employees that are
present in the organisation will have to represent their order with respect to the right amount of
skills that can be incorporated in the organisation to uplift the choices of the entire company
towards betterment. The report will bring forth the right amount of skill that can be included in
the organisation in order to understand the responsibility that are in charge of bringing about a
good organisational profit. The report will revolve around the company that is being hired by an
individual which is also being operated by employee count of 200. And understanding of
practical requirement and responsibilities is being portrayed in the report.
VARIOUS FUNCTIONAL AREAS IN BUSINESS ORGANISATIONS
There are various functional areas in the organisation that will revolve around the Organisational
Management. These functional areas are also term to be the departments which are run on a
specified basis such that the business will be operated in a secular manner. A complete
knowledge about different functional areas will help the organisation in order to stand a midst of
all the implication and operate successfully. Some of the functional areas that can be portrayed
upon the organisational entity that is being operated by Mr John are as follows:
Human resources: human resources in the organisation is set to be operating at a finest rate and
is also known to be one of the reputed organisational cadre that is present in almost all the
organisations. The human resources management in the organisation will look after all the
training and development processes right from recruitment onwards (Kasaev and et.al, 2019).
They are also in charge of dealing with the management prospects in the organisation and they
will act as a bridge between the management as well as the employees. Every human relation
that is in the organisation is being fostered by this particular entity and the entire learning
processes are brought about by human resources.
Accounting and Finance: after human resources accounting and Finance is regarded to be one of
the important criteria that would deal with the entire prospect of the company. The money
matters of the organisation are dealt by the accounting and finance department and there are
variable cash personification that are being made. The accounting and Finance is said to be one

of the important and a crucial component in every organisation and it will have to be composed
of skilled employees that are more intelligent towards the financial transactions as well as the
calculations. They have every Responsibility in dealing with the minimum to maximum finances
that are being used by the organisation and they are also in charge of budgeting and forecasting
the statistical data that is oriented with finances. There is an action plan that is portrayed upon
various measures that are being incorporated by accounting and Finance Department which are
being sold by different software.
Marketing and Advertising: marketing and advertisement department are said to be the crucial
components where the entire promotional criteria will revolve around this particular departments.
The marketing and Advertising department will help the product to reach customers and
therefore in the organisation there are certain strategic measures that are being portrayed upon.
This particular departments will revolve around the responsibilities of bringing about certain
seems that are necessary to be initiated in the organisation that that people will get to identify the
company. The marketing and Advertising is mostly used by these small companies in order to
flourish over a long term. They are in charge of understanding the customer personification and
define the kind of strategy that can be initiated (Luo and et.al, 2021).
Production unit: the entire production unit will deal with the products that are of functional area
in the entire organisation. The production processes are necessary to be initiated on an accurate
basis because it is not until when the product is firm with respect to its quality that the entire
sales can be maintained. The products are regarded to be one of the finest standard for the
organisational development and therefore this particular unit is regarded to be one of the
important one to be dealt with.
Operations: the factor that is associated with operations will look after all the entities of work
that will have to be tackled in the organisation. This will also be the designs that are to be
included in organisational activity such that the operations can be performed on a better run. In
order to deliver the right amount of results and to stand in the midst of competition it is entirely
dependent upon how far the operations team is doing their best in order to bring about a strategic
orientation.
Customer service: customer service is regarded as one of the common criteria in every
organisation where there are certain speculations that have to be solved by this particular

department. There are customer negotiation that will have to be solved and therefore the team of
customer service will represent the entire Organisation in solving the queries of customers.
SKILLS NEEDED BY EMPLOYEES TO WORK EFFECTIVELY
Skills are essential component in the organisation in order to stand a midst of the competition as
well as the implications that are there in the company. The skills are said to be the executive
prospect of the entire company and they will determine the employee pace (Stawiarska and et.al,
2021). Few of the skills that are necessary to be included in the employees in order to work in the
functional areas are as follows:
Communication skill: communication skills are regarded to be one of the prominent components
where there is a certain data that will have to be communicated in the organisation. There might
be a lawyer that are well was whereas there might be some other employees who do not know
work at all to stop this particular communication can help them to share their ideas as well as the
ideologies regarding the work prospect and they can flourish accordingly. Their competency it
will also bring about profits to the entire company.
Decision making: decision making is regarded to be one of the hard skill that is usually managed
by the upper management. The decision-making skill will highlight the entire aspect of the
company where there are certain strategic orientation that will have to be made. The decision-
making will also help the organisation to choose the part that is required to be opted for (Shi,
2019, July). With the help of decision making the organisation can move ahead regardless of
every challenge that is being imposed by the competitive world.
Flexibility: employees will have to learn to be a flexible in a towards the work prospects at that
the work can be completed within the stipulated time. The employee flexibility will help them to
predict challenges and they can work according to the onset of organisational terms.
Commitment: commitment is one of the prominent criteria where there are certain engagements
that will have to be made by the employees in order to dedicate themselves towards the work.
The commitment of the employee will help them to identify the standards of the role that they
are playing and it can increase the overall productivity of the company.
Innovation: the inculcation in regard to innovation will have to be fostered in such a way that
every functional unit in the organisation will have to inculcate the standards of innovative ideas.
This competitive spirit will help them to bring about the new ideologies that are necessary to be
included in the company (Qian and et.al, 2020).

Leadership: leadership is one of the best skills that will have to be fostered in the management
because the management will have to stand firm with respect to the decisions as well as the idea
such that they can lead the entire team. The project which are oriented with the company can be
completed within the stipulated time once the leadership is sharpened.
Teamwork: project management in the organisation can be successfully taken care about when
there is a proper teamwork. Teamwork will help things to happen and the organisation and it is
also one of the important confidentialities that would help the organisation to win its glory.
Time management: irrespective of any of the ideology that is being fostered by the functional
units time management is one of those different criteria that will have to be prioritised by
employees (Hu and Han, 2019). Employees will have to learn to manage time and complete the
project within the requirement because the time that that is wasted can be used for working on
other goals and objectives.

The entire report concludes upon highlighting the aspects of the skills that will have to be
included in the organisation. Through this report one can easily understand the various functional
areas in the organisation that are important. The different functional areas are explained with
