INTRODUCTION
The spotlight effect is generally a phenomenon where a person tends for believing it is
being noticed very much than it really is. This effect changes the perception of people in both
manners, positively and negatively.

Reflection
1. Explanation behind why I have chosen this topic
The spotlight effect is very unique topic that refers tendency to an individual for things
that people observes them much nearly than it actually is (Yuan and Huang, 2016). This topic
aware us about the high-lightness of an individual in the society. The spotlight effect motivates
people to do something great which make enable them for getting excellent attention at any
place. That’s why this topic is too important to me. This is very common thing that, currently
only those people have spotted in the society who do something different from others, so this
spotlight effect become place to such people which provide them a special identity in the society.
Currently very less people in all around the world deserves this spotlight, because these very less
people are only able to create something exclusive. That’s why this topic motivate me for doing
such things which one day make me enable to get spotted, and that’s why I have chosen this
topic.
2. Experiment or research conducted on the spotlight effect
The aspect "spotlight effect" was sealed by Kenneth Savitsky and Thomas
Gilovich. There are phenomenon created own first appearance within across the psychology’s
world in their one journal named “Current Directions in Psychological Science” which they was
launched in 1999. I have learnt, that was the time when first time this spotlight effect formulated.
There are Kenneth Savitsky and Thomas Gilovich, both very famous experts of psychology.
They completely know that, how this effect of spotlight impacts daily life of different people.
They were basically conducted the research on this topic, and then they found some such
outcomes which made them more expert in psychology (Wanser and et.al., 2019). In this

research both combined different effects which they were observed in their respective past for
properly describing the spotlight. According to my knowledge, that research enable them to
found that an individual’s point of views about what other people think of it is fully variable
compared for what is really thought of it. Of course, this is something complicated to understand,
but when anyone has succeeded in understanding this, then it will enable to get very appropriate
outcomes through the spotlight effect aspect.
3. Quote
The aspect called the "spotlight effect" is enough to highly motivates and encourages
people for being worthy to get great attention at any place. This aspect positively impacts people
when they have deeply understood the concept of the spotlight.
4. Help of this aspect
This is aspect is very helpful to me for systematically understanding an experience from
own social world or a recent global event (Sakkas, 2016). Basically, currently the whole world is
suffering from the coronavirus pandemic, so that now I have understood that live in spotlight life
is not much important, because live a healthy and safe life most important to everyone.
CONCLUSION
It can be concluded that the spotlight effective encourages people live better life, but this
aspect is not everything to people.
