Who are HR Professionals? What knowledge, skills and behaviour are required of them?
HR professional for a business organization is considered as person who is hired by the
companies like virgin media to advocate for both organization and its employees. The main objective
of the HR professional in the business organization is to establish, develop, maintain, and manage
the company policies to ensure the all the benefits for business organization and employees. the
main role of the HR professional to consider all government policies and laws in order to maintain
better internal and external operations within the organization to improve the productivity.
There are different knowledge related requirements are need to be full filled by the business
organization to meet the objectives of the organization related to the post of HR professional. For
example HR professional should have knowledge about the policies that are used by the
organization to manage all business operations all over the globe. This is also important for the HR
professional to have knowledge regarding legislations that are need to be followed by the business
organization in order to generate better result from market place. HR professional should have
knowledge about the personal and human resource within the organization. Knowledge of
organizational principles procedures that are followed in the organization for recruitment, selection,
training, compensation, relations, negotiations and personal information system (Tattum and Tattum,
2017). HR professional also should have knowledge of the various languages that can help the
organization to communicate with the countries of operation. HR professional also should have
knowledge of different tools that are used by the organization to manage the human and other
resources within the organization. HR professional need to have information about the processes
that can be used by the organization to meet all the requirement with in local and international
operations. HR professional also should have knowledge of Sociology, mathematic, public safety
and security, communication and media, economic and accounts and various other sources that are
useful for the business organization. Through this information organization can meet all business
requirement of the organization like Virgin Media.
There are different sills a HR professional need to have are- employee relation, on-boarding
skill, human resource management skill, performance management skill, team working skill,
collaboration skill, scheduling, customer service and project management skills. These are some
common skills need to possess by the business organization in order to provide better services to
the business organization.
Apart from the technical and other skills that can help HR professional to manage different
resources of organization this is also important for the HR professional to have right behaviour or
attitude to perform all the operations in the effective manner (Faris, 2018). This process can help the
HR professional to deal with various challenges and processes in effective manner. some of the
behavioural requirement of the HR professional are- Transparency, trustworthiness, purpose
oriented operations, technological savvy, versatility and adaption of changes in the approaches and

What do you understand by a Skills Audit? What role does it play in the personal and professional
development of an employee?
A skill audit is considered as process that is used by the organization or individual employee
to evaluate the skills of employee or for the purpose of the personal evaluation process. In this
process various methods are used to evaluate the skills of the employees. these processes or
methods are consists of process like questionnaire, personal evaluation or performance analysis
can be used by the organization to evaluate the long term challenges that will be faced by
organization due to gaps in the skills and capability of the employees. Through this process
organization can evaluate the long term challenges that will be faced by business organization in
business operation.
The role of the skill audit can be considered as tool or process that can be use by the
organization to analysis the skills of their employees in order to develop further process like training
and development to full fill the skills that are required in employees to meet operational standard in
organization. This process will be really helpful for organization to evaluate the strengths and
weaknesses of their employees. By this process specialised plans for employees can be developed
to get better response from employees with in their performance in internal functions and external
operation of the organization (Duboust and Knight, 2018). This auditing process can provide proper data
to the management and HR department of the organization to develop plans for training and

Personal SWOT analysis is considered as tool or technique that is used by individual to
analyse self-capabilities and kills. SWOT is acronym of strength, weaknesses, opportunities and
threats. In the personal SWOT analysis all strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats for
individual person are evaluated in order to develop self-overview. This is most important tool for
personal evaluation process. Through this process individual person can develop personal
improvement and development plan that can help them to improve their skills and capabilities to get
better result with career.

The full form of CPD is known as continuous professional development process. This process
is considered as method that includes continuous tracking and evaluation of knowledge, skills and
experience that is gained by an individual person with in personal and professional career. It is

person in personal and professional life. This process is designed to evaluate the impact of the
personal and professional development plan on individual person. This is one of the most effective
