Importance of Risk Register
It is extremely necessary to incorporate risk register within the project management plan in order
to identify and determine the potential risks that can emerge during the course of the event. It
also details about the assessment of each risks from different aspects which makes it very
flexible for the project sponsor to get overview in relation with what uncertain events might
occur during the indoor sports event. Risk register also outlines the plans that will be taken into
consideration in order to combat the proposed risk (Romanskaya and Berdnikov, 2020). The
former reflects upon the concerned plans and strategies formulated by the project manager in
order to handle the risks in an effective and prominent manner. In general terms, it can be stated
that risk register is a sort of logbook that provides the details about he risks and their
management actions.
The risk register also provides scores and weights to the identified risk factors, which helps the
project sponsor to acquire insights about the severity of the risks. The risks which are provided
with maximum scores require more emphasis and attention whereas the risk factors which have
lower scores can are provided with less attention (Yazici, 2020).
Overall, it can be stated that risk register is a component in the project management, which can
facilitate in the management of risks in an advance and batter manner. Hence, it is very important
to formulate the risk register so as to highlight upon risks and determine the proposed actions
that will be taken to mitigate or eliminate the same.
TASK 2
Project structure, management and completion
In order to lead the indoor sport event in a successful manner, it is very prominent for the
management for the event to focus upon the structure and management guidelines that will be
taken into consideration to facilitate the same. The project structure for the indoor sports event
will be designed with a systematic approach (Víchová, Taraba and Belantová, 2020). Every
particular sports activity within the event will be structured in a prominent manner. Volunteers
will be arranged in teams and groups and leaders will be appointed in every team in order to
guide the team members in order manage and operate in an advance and efficient manner.

The support from the educational institutions is also very necessary in order to process the event
in a smooth manner. The permission letter as well as other significant paperwork pertaining to
the sports event will be done on a prior basis so as to acquire adequate support from the
institutions who will be participants in the respective sports event.
The administrative management theory proposed by Henry Fayol will be incorporated in
order to ensure that the management operations are carried out in a very proficiently. For
instance, the project structure will integrate division of work (Iranmanesh, Azizi and
Tavakolizade Ravari, 2021). The work will be divided within various teams and groups in order
to add productivity to the staff operations and ensure that the assigned work is completed on
time.
While facilitating the management of sports events, it is necessary to focus upon
maintenance of discipline and sincerity. Application of administrative management theory will
help to main disciple within the setting of the vent and ensure that management procedure and
plans are carried out with utmost sincerity on behalf of the staff members and other individuals
involved in the same. The authority to take decisions and implement the same will be provided to
the project management as well as the team leaders (Picciotto, 2020). The subordinates and the
remaining volunteer will need to oblige to the decisions in a dignified manner. A risk
management team will also be formulated in the proposed event. The risk team will be
responsible for constantly monitoring the environments and surrounding of the event in order to
identity and respond to uncertainty prevailing within the same. Assertive and productive team
members will be appointed in the risk team who has the right skill set to take immediate actions
without any fear and confusion.
The regulation of budget can be termed as an extremely significant process in the project
management of sports events (Chernobai, Ozdagli and Wang, 2021). The project planning and
variables are designed in accordance with the budget allotted to the project team.
Management and regulation of large number of gathering is not an easy task. A separate
team will be designated to ensure that the existing crowd at the event is managed and seated in
an appropriately. Sports event are extremely competitive and high emotions and energies are
involved within the same. Thus, there are possibilities of conflicts due to the raging emotions of
the supporter or the sportspersons. According to the formulated project structure, strict actions

event. The respective action has been included in order to control the aggression as well as fights
among the supporters of their favourite sportsperson. The management team will ensure smooth
coordination as well as cooperation within the volunteers and staff members involved in the
concerned sports event. Hence, all in all it can be stated that the project team will try its best in
order to execute the event in a very systematised and effective manner.
TASK 3
Agile Methodology
Agile can considered to be a project management approach wherein development is the prime
motive behind the application of the concerned methodology. It promotes the cross functional
operation within teams where in flexibility as well as adaptability to new and emerging concept
is taken into consideration (ŁUCZAK, 2021). Communication can be termed as an integral part
of the agile methodology and various plans as well as procedure are facilitated in accordance
with the same.
The biggest advantage of Agile can be termed as is ability to incorporate the customer
views and opinions at every level of growth and development process. The individuals
who are engaged in the concerned methodology are required to provide their feedback
time to time in order to alleviate credibility of the project and ensure that it meets up to
the expectations and demands of all the individuals who are a part of the same.
The main objective behind the application of the agile methodology in project
management process or procedure is to ensure that continuous development as well as
improvement is taken into consideration while the implementation of the project. It also
ensures that waste is minimised and productivity is promoted within the concerned
project.
One of the major disadvantages of agile methodology can be considered as the need for
customer interaction and continuous feedback from the same (Smith and Merritt, 2020).
It can be very time-consuming for the customers and the individuals involved in the
process to be available at every point of time in order to provide the necessary
contribution towards the enhancement of the project in a consistent and more effective
manner.

In this particular methodology, the final outcome or result cannot be anticipated. Ait can
be said that one cannot expect or assume anything out of the concerned project and the
result of the same is uncertain as well.
Waterfall Methodology
Water fall can be characterised as the most traditional approach of project management. It is
extremely linear in nature. In this particular approach, the emphasis is given to the participants
and the individuals involved in the concerned project and their expectations from the same
(Hubbard, 2020). Post analysis of the customer and participant expectation, the project is
developed in accordance with the same.
In waterfall project provided to the quality rather than the speed of efficiency. It is most
suitable to the projects which are required to facilitate in a gradual manner. The projects
established through waterfall methodology are complete on the time allotted to the same..
The fact that they are linear in nature ensures that they accomplish their targets within the
predetermined budget timeline as well as attain the milestones in effective and efficient
manner.
The monitoring as well as tracking of progress of waterfall projects is the easy in
comparison to the other project methodologies.
One of the biggest disadvantages of waterfall methodology can be stated as once the
project is on stage and everything is appropriately set, it is very difficult to implement
changes in the same. Any change or alteration in the predetermined project or course of
action will result in extreme expenditure as well as shift in the schedule facilitated for the
processing of the project.
Prince 2 Methodology
Prince 2 can be characterised as a type of project management methodology in which four
essential components are incorporated which are necessary to be followed and regulated
throughout the proposed life course of the project (Allen, 2021). Four integrated components
which are a essential for the facilitation of the particular project can be termed as the appropriate
principles, the suitable themes, the accurate and effective processes, the efficient tailoring. The
former elements are required to comply with the requirements as well as expectations to the
environment pertaining to respective project.
Document Page
One of the most prominent advantages of Price 2 methodology is that it is very easy to
utilise and apply within a project environment. The individuals who have restricted
experience can easily apply the same to the important events without any major
implications.
Management pertaining to the procurement department is not taken into consideration by
the Prince 2 methodology (Singh and Williams, 2021).
The promotion of soft skills is ignored by the concerned methodology.
Conclusion
From the above assessment and evaluation, it can be stated that Agile Methodology can be
considered as the most appropriate methodology in context to the particular sports event. The
risk as well as uncertain involved in the facilitation of the sports events can be easily minimised
through the application of Agile Methodology as it promotes adaptability and flexibility to
change within the same.
