In industrial applications, sensitive drives and electronics are normally enclosed for protection
from harsh environment surrounding it. Due to environmental conditions, there is a need to
cool the enclosures, for the devices perform as expected, saving energy and costs. To design
cooling system for an industrial application, the following factors ought to be considered, the
size of the enclosure, heat to be generated by the equipment and the surrounding
temperatures of where the enclosure is located. The size (surface area) of the enclosure is used
to calculate heat contained in the enclosure, by the equation below
Qe=Qv-(A*k*∆T) , where Qv is the heat the enclosure, A is the surface area of the enclosure and
K the constant.
This calculations form the basis of selecting the correct solution for climate control. Varieties of
the solutions are filter fans, air to water exchangers, air to air exchangers and air conditioners.
During installation it is necessary to leave enough free space that will allow climate control
devices to perform efficiently. Proper installation of control unit is a key to efficient
performance, every control solution demands to be installed in a specific location within the
enclosure for it to work well. And for efficient operation maintenance needs to be done on a
regular basis.
In IT, data should be confidential, available or accessible to users when in need and finally it
should be accurate and complete in that order and is always known as CIA triad, and this is
different when it comes to operational technology, as it has it’s own priorities, availability is
given a top priority followed by integrity and finally confidentiality. Confidentiality, availability
and integrity of SCADA for infrastructure and manufacturing has been achieved through a
variety of hardware, software and virtual machines.
Dynamics in manufacturing is changing rapidly and use of robotics is experienced to realize
quality and high production in the industry. There is a need to increase manufacturing speed, to
automate specific medical research operations and many other industrial applications. There

automation of industrial processes. In IIoT, there are factors to be considered when selecting a
battery to be used. One, number of cells and their individual voltages, temperature effect on
operating voltage, battery capacity and rate of discharge, total energy expected from the
