operations to a great extent. Business environment is a combination of external and internal
factors that directly or indirectly impact the business (Bae and et. al., 2018). In this report,
Morrison’s is considered which is a supermarket chain based in United Kingdom. They are
fourth largest supermarket in the country and they have around 494 supermarkets running across
England. The report covers the different types are purpose of organization that are private,
voluntary and public sectors. Further the size and scope off different types of organizations are
also discussed. The relationship between different organizational functions is also critically
evaluated.

responsibilities in the society. There are several types of organisation on the basis of ownership,
these types are discussed below along with the legal structure of the company
Public sector organisation- this refers to the organisation that is partially or fully owned by
government bodies and the generated revenue comes under governments account. These
organisations generally operate for the welfare of the public at the minimal cost. These
organisations operate on the money that is raised through taxation, this helps the general public
to avail facilities at a minimal cost. These organisations provide services of different type which
consists of different services such as public education, health care, management etc. UK Sport is
a government agency which is responsible for investing in Paralympic and Olympic sporting
activities in the United Kingdom (Bila, 2020).
Purpose- The purpose of UK Sport is to set up sporting activities in United Kingdom through
which every person in UK can get educated regarding sports.
Legal structure- Within the public sector, there are several type of legal structures which are
