Personal Reflection
1. Schedule for this Unit and the Assignment
In this unit, I will learn in details the topic of industry consulting project in which I will
receive exposure to how industry projects are managed. For this initial set of modules, I have
been allocated with 4 weeks of time and at the end of each week, I need to submit an assignment
that has been provided to me at the start of the course. All the contents in the assignments will
require learning on the module that I am enrolled in and are related to industry consulting
projects. My learnings through the week will be directly reflected on the assignments that I will
submit at the end of the weeks.
2. Specific and Measurable Goals for Personal Learning
In addition to completing assignments allocated to me at the end of each week, I have
also have some specific and measurable goals for personal learning that will benefit me in the
long run. These are as follows.
I want to increase and enhance my interactions with my classmates so as to
develop significant team chemistry that will be very much beneficial in group
projects. Furthermore, it will also help me in group learning that will be beneficial
for me and my classmates.
I want to increase my interactions with my supervisors as I find it very much
opportune to learn from them and request guidance whenever there are significant
challenges in my module.

I want to enhance my problem solving skills in order to overcome challenges in
the module. While the supervisors are available to guide me, I also want to learn
by myself on how to overcome challenges using personal skills and knowledge
throughout the course.
I want to increase my knowledge of management of industry projects that will
help me build up my career in the near future.
In addition, my personal learning goals can also be specified using the SMART principle
as follows.
Specific – I want to gather sufficient knowledge and skills in project management during
this module.
Measurable – I should be able to perform and score sufficient marks during the
evaluation of the knowledge and skills that I gathered during the module.
Achievable – I want to achieve sufficient success in gathering project management skills
such that I am able to solve complex project management related problems.
Relevant – I want to develop problem solving and management skills that are essential in
project management.
Time Based – I want to achieve all the above targets within the end of this module.
3. Goals and Challenges
3.1 Achieving Individual and Team Goals
As a part of the course, I need to achieve both individual and team goals. My individual
goals include enhancement of personal skills and knowledge, increase understanding of the

industry projects and how they are managed and also develop problem solving skills. My team
goals include enhancement of team chemistry and develop group learning for benefits of myself
and my classmates.
3.2 Challenges in this Unit
There are significant challenges in the unit as industry projects are very much
complicated compared to regular projects. Furthermore, I am in a new environment of study and
hence, it will take time for me to overcome the challenges and mix with my classmates for
creating a better learning atmosphere.
3.3 Tracking Progress and Final Success
I can track my progress through my success in the weekly assignments as well as
feedbacks from my supervisors. My final success depends on how much I have learned from the
course and developed sufficient problem solving skills.
