Business and industry research project
As most of the people aim to work with corporates, I feel happy to be a part of
Habitat. It is a non government organization that is working towards constructing and
renovating the place for families. They aim to have a world where everyone has a safe and
decent place to live. It follows their vision in the most sincere manner. I am really impressed
with the people working there; they are so kind and cooperative to the needy families. They
are even extending their help internationally.

Families who need any monetary or non monetary support used to ask help from
Habitat for humanity and improvise a place that they can call as home. Habitat spreads
humanity in real terms by leveraging financial sources and advocating support to such
families and helps them to attain strength and stability that they require in order to have a
better lifestyle (umsu.unimelb.edu.au, 2018).
The mission of the Habitat is “At Habitat for Humanity Australia, we believe a
decent home provides much more than bricks and mortar, it’s the foundation for the
future, giving families the opportunity to be healthier, happier and more secure, and leads
to stronger communities that can grow and sustain themselves (habitat.org.au, 2019).”

The organization was basically founded by Millard Fuller and considered as one of
most successful NGO in the US history ever. The first award was received in the year of
1996 by President Clinton. It has touched the life of 3 million people. Thousands of
volunteers are working together for social causes under the team of Nicole Stanmore (N.A,
2018). Being a part of this organization, it was observed that there were no such competitors
who work rigorously for giving shelter to the needy; however there are institutions which can
be considered as measurable competitors for Habitat such as Building home for Heroes and
Mission Trips (Vogel, 2012). The habitat for humanity has its presence in “Egypt, Nola,
Australia, India, and Madagascar”.
I researched about its publicity and news background. Also, it was observed that
Habitat has left its footprint and helping effect in each of the news releases and news paper.
It has helped many families in resilient situation such as tsunami and earthquake in 2018. It
has built decent homes in the cities of Vietnam with the help of 15 volunteers (n.a, 2019).
Moreover, it has planned to go to Nepal and India for building decent homes in the upcoming
year. Hence, it has extended its helping hand in foreign countries also. I have observed that
each and every person working over there is a visionary and are energetic. They are self
motivated and there personality drives them to Habitat for Humanity.
