Introduction
The aim of the paper is to create an awareness about the necessities for working in a
environment of the chosen industry, that is Regent Park Resort. As discussed in the previous
assignment, the report would be discussing about the developing knowledge, skill and the
abilities that is needed to be developed for working in a work environment at resorts and
hotel industries (Hertzman, Moreo & Wiener, 2015). The following report would be
discussing about the acquired skills needed for working as Assistant General Manager of
Regent Park Resort.
Discussion
One of the most important aspect that is needed by an Assistant Manager is
connecting with their fellow peers. In terms of developing that, proper forms of
communication channel is needed for being developed. It was witnessed that all the important
decisions that were taken by the management only, without taking any concerns of the
workers. For developing an effective work environment by the Assistance Manager, it should
be seen that they have taken the concerns of the fellow workers and all the possible decision
regarding the management is taken by jointly (Alhelalat, 2015).
Policies are important in a work environment and is needed to be maintained. As an
Assistance Manager, it is required to monitor that all the work in the organization is executed
according to the policies, their legislation and regulation (Youssef, 2017). It is important for
maintaining the necessary work and monitoring them and it is the duty of the Assistance
Manager for overlooking these aspects of the organization. Regent Park Resort, however,
have been maintaining all the necessary needs for the policies and monitoring the work
according to the work legislation and regulations.

Emotional intelligence is also required for an Assistance Manager for controlling and
monitoring the work of their peers and the other fellow employees of the organization (Cetin,
Demirciftci & Bilgihan, 2016). In a line of work, it is necessary for maintaining their emotion
intact while taking decision. Emotions can be delusional and block them for proper judging,
thus it is an important factor that is needed for a manager to manage.
Conclusion
Thus, the following report could be concluded by providing a brief overview of the
necessary skills that are needed to be developed by an Assistance Manager that is working in
a hotel industry and providing service to the organization. The skills mentioned in the report
would be helpful in the industry.
