Ethics which is the moral principles, guides us through the journey of our life, has a
remarkable effect on our operational careers (Hoque & Gausul, 2018). A lot many organisations
have to go to great lengths before they recruit an employee to assess their probable employees’
code of ethics as it has an impact on the sustainability of the company. Along with ethical
practices, ethical behaviour in organisation is important too. Hence, a proper ethical behaviour is
important to form an ethical culture in the organization.
Cultural Ethics
In an organisation, people come from various ethnicity and it becomes necessary to
discover ethical principles which is shared worldwide. It is common to our knowledge that
different cultures abide by different ethical values. Also, since values are an important part of
any culture, it becomes the bedrock for development in the organization. Even though the moral
values are same for all the individuals, cultural ethics become a subset of these values which is
different for each.
Ethics Training and whistle blower protection
Whistleblowing is an effective approach to diminish the organizational corruption.
However, I believe, there exists little practical research which will broaden our knowledge in
terms of organizational strategies. An effective whistle-blower shield and an anti-retaliation
structure involves high-ranking leadership commitment as well as accountability (Honan et al.,

thee set rules so as to avoid complications. Moreover, the employees must be aware of the same.
Sustainability and triple bottom line (3BL)
In this fact paced world, sustainability has become the face of a lot many
organization. It is usually understood that sustainability requires a balanced quest of three things
- economic welfare, ecological health, and social equity (Hoque & Gausul, 2018). While 3BL
comprises of concepts like people, work and place that is, social, environmental, and economic
in accordance to sustainability. These practices lead to an enhanced productivity, reduction in
waste and portrays a better image to public.
