Indeed, discrimination in education is intertwined two of the most crucial problems in the
societal setup. Apart from that effort towards conducting a study to do away with the inequalities
in education is inevitable. Ways of mitigating some of this discrimination are significant for the
entire universe. Therefore, this is a very immediate area which needs to be accorded great
interest because all those people who are learning or undergoing education system need quality.
Quality education is essential due to the fact it is the cornerstone for a guaranteed future.
Equality in education in all learning institutions echoes one of the pillars of Catholic social
teaching. It believes in human dignity, and it has to be accorded all due respect as all people were
created in the image of the almighty (Laczniak, 2016). The root cause of discrimination in the
education system is enormous, namely; government policies, poor administration of education,
and the capitalistic nature of the community. Honestly, there are several types of institutional
discrimination in the learning system. Each has the right to education as per the statutes of the
UNESCO. Notably, any form of discrimination is a devaluation of the dignity of human
personality. Inequalities in education are founded under the basis of age, ethnicity, disability,
race, religion, and economic condition. Yes, as per the principle of the human person and dignity
(Scott, 2018). They are founded on the moral apparition for the community. Undeniably, people
should shun from education discrimination.
Past studies and research which have been conducted far and wide across the globe or the
universe shows that it is a rampant social menace. It deprives people within the society the right
to the quality education is a heart desire to any student or pupil in the community at large. The
same social problems experienced across the world vary in their degree as far as institutional
discrimination or inequality is concerned. This same menace carries with it a crucial issue,

making nations or states to experience great difficulty in solving it. Certainly, mechanism or
solutions have been put forth to curb this cancer before it destroys our society. Inequality in
education or education discrimination is something that is instigated by humanity (Puhl, 2015).
Furthermore, racism and tribal issues are the primary cause of discrimination in education.
Most of these issues have brought segregation or the alienation among individuals who
have acquired top crème education versus those who have been sidelined by the system. In some
of the countries within the global sphere, training is provided unequally based on race. The
precise manifestation of such discrimination is always evident when gender disparity is given
consideration (Roy, 2017). Education which is offered along sexual procession devalues human
personality and dignity as it makes others to be seen as children of a lesser God. Also, within the
societal setup, some individuals will get a better education than others creating a social
inequality caused by the economy. Something that should also be given significant consideration
is providing training to the less fortunate, and the disabled in the society (Taylor, 2019). The
reason behind this is that most of the disabled people are always sidelined when this provision is
rendered. Subsequently, this leads to unfair competition with his or her colleagues, who are not
disabled. Several areas of concerned have been mentioned to be the cause of high rates of
discrimination in education. Prejudice is one of the critical issues bringing rise to inequality in
education. Intolerance breeds hatred among the top administrators in a learning institution
(Diller, 2018).
There are several research and studies which have been conducted across the world to
solve the problem of discrimination in education. The first issue which should be taken into
consideration and implemented has tutors who are sensitive to the effects of gender disparity.
Apart from that, the tutor should also not have the urge to favoring the opposite gender or poses

no prejudice. Students should also be given equal learning resources and materials without
supporting any gender. Honestly, that is imperative as it builds the culture of the same education
among all in the society despite your gender.
On the other hand, the government should be up to the task to protect girl child who is
one of the most endangered species. The government needs to put regulation compelling all
parents to provide education to their kids without prejudice. The government should provide
enough resources and learning materials to all learning institutions so that there will be no form
of discrimination in the education system (Tilak, 2015). Establishing a proper education system
should be encouraged as it will propel equal education among all the pupils and students in
society. To achieve it, the government is required to recruit personnel who are academic or
educationally oriented to offer quality services. Hence, it is upon each state to fund their learning
institutions, to enhance proper education provided to all its citizens (Cumming, (2015). That will
give rise to the betterment of the education system in the society.
In supposition, discrimination in education or inequality in education is something
unbridled across the world. In a real sense, due to the emphasis amounted on human dignity as
per the Catholic social teaching, all human beings are equal before the eyes of the lord
(Sandelands, 2015). Because they were created on his image too, therefore, inequality or
discrimination in the education system should be addressed so that equality can prevail. Every
society has its goals which they need to achieve to better their lives and living standards. Proper
implementation and supervision of equality in education will provide good upshots in the
education system within a country or a state. For more economic development in the word, all
the rules or nations should have the same dream of empowering all its citizens with proper

education. The cardinal virtue of life that promotes equality among all is also another vital issue
to be given consideration.
