INTRODUCTION
Research is the continuous process mainly used to investigate and study the facts to
establish or discover new findings. It is considered as a systematic process in which can be
generally used to increase the skills and knowledge of the researcher. Whereas referencing is
considered as the important aspect used for academic writing. This method is also used for
acknowledging other researchers idea, so that better conclusions can be drawn out(Joyce and et.
al., 2016). The major topics covered in this report are effectiveness and efficiency of research
information, key features of copyright law, issues related to plagiarism, identification of
conventional system and the need for references.
1.1 Evaluate the effectiveness and efficiency of research information.
Textbook and internet search is very much essential for gathering proper research
information as with the help of this right information can be collected. Free internet search is the
less time consuming process, so the information regarding research is can be collected without
wasting time and other valuable resources. With the help of textbook and internet search new
facts and findings can be drawn out. Professional journal is also a effective source for
researching information. As with the help of this method views and ideas of experienced
researchers can be taken into consideration. High quality Information can be collected from
professional journals and newspaper. By using these sources for collecting research information
accurate information can be gathered, so that better conclusions are drawn out. Chances of errors
in the process of gathering research information can be decreased(Herring, 2014).
2.1 Two key features of copyright laws that effect researching.
The two main features related to copyright law which can affect researching discussed
below-
Proper copyright laws can reduce the chances of copying the information from some
other sources. With the help of such laws right information can be gathered,so that proper
conclusions are drawn out.
As per the copyright law the author becomes the owner of the information or work done.
In case of copied information legal actions can be taken regarding the unethical practices
of research.

2.2 Discuss the issues relating to plagiarism and copyright.
Plagiarism is the situation when the writer uses some ideas and statements which has
already been published by some other writer or author. The issues and consequences related to
the plagiarism and copyright can be related to professional, ethical and legal. There are various
issues which are related to plagiarism and copyright. Some among them are discussed below-
Quality of information- Improper rules regarding plagiarism and copyright can reduce
chance of high quality information. As due to this information will not be accurate and may not
be used for further research work. It is considered as unethical and unacceptable form because
due to this problems of the research may not be solved in the best possible manner(Saeed, Aamir
and Ramzan, 2011).
Accuracy of Information- One of the major issue related to plagiarism and copyright is
the information will not be accurate which can directly lead to misunderstanding and wrong
interpretation of the information.
3.1 Need to references and two conventional system of referencing.
Referencing is useful for the individuals in order to avoid the plagiarism and
acknowledging the contribution of other writers and researcher in the given work. Citations is
used for drawing the ideas, words or research of other writers so that credit can be given to them.
By using the references and citation, individuals acknowledge and respect the intellectual
property rights of that researcher from whom work the ideas are drawn(Kumar, 2019). There are
different types of references which are discussed below: Harvard: This is a popular style which uses the author-date system for citations. The
citation are done by using the authors' last name and the year of publication in round
brackets.
MLA: This referencing method is developed by Modern Language Association which
consist of two parts i.e. in-text citation in the text body and detailed list of the “Works
Cited” in the end.
3.2 Referenced sources of information.

Globalisation is not a new concept. The people used cheap transport means in the late
19th century for moving the capital across various places when the tariffs are not introduced. The
people migrated across the oceans on a bigger scale and then the people migrate now. However

this came to an end after the first world war (An economist’s bleak view of the future of
globalisation, 2017).
Newspaper
After the financial crisis resulted in heavy losses for the countries a decade ago,
globalisation is termed as a dirty word. After that, globalisation is known as the creed of amoral
liberalism under siege from the forces of populist public opinion (Müller, 2017).
Book
A new survey of around 23 of the world’s biggest countries has shown meaningful
attitude towards the economic and social impact of the globalisation which is shaping the world
from the past three 3 decades (There is no mass public revolt against globalisation, 2019).
Journal
The key element in globalisation is the interconnection of different countries through the
trade and capital flows, harmonisation of the economic rules, etc. which enable the foreign
investment flow in an organisation (Saheed, 2013).

CONCLUSION
It has been concluded from the above report that individuals needs to conduct the
research after evaluating the effectiveness and efficiency of the sources. The individuals needs to

provide the references and citations of the original work or authors if they had taken ideas from
books and journals. The individuals needs to have knowledge regarding the different referencing
style so that the referencing and citations can be done properly.
