INTRODUCTION
Information system analysis and design is a process that can used by organization to perform
task in the business effectively and efficiently. It will maintain and create the information system
that perform functions such as track the details of consumers, suppliers, payments and orders.
Repair-Made-easy firm is mainly focused on improve the quality of services so that they can try
to implement new system which help for maintaining the overall activities of business in proper
manner.
RME wants to replace the current system with new one that should help for increasing the
visibility in marketplace. The company is decided to design and develop new system or available
for made in multiple stores via internet, centralised database. This report will use the centralise
database system to implement functions in different part of system design process. It will
identify the overall cost/benefits analysis of new system development.
Aim: To analyse the impact of existing system in the business operations and also understand the
requirement of new system development.
Objectives:
ï‚· To identifying multiple resources that implement concept in the new system design and
development.
ï‚· To evaluate that how to overcome challenges and weakness in existing system.
ï‚· To recommendation of improving the existing system features and functionality.
TASK 1
Discuss that how would repair made easy for developing its own information system.
Repair-Made-Easy (RME) is based on the spare parts and service provider organization that
provide wide range of computers such as desktops, notebooks etc. Many consumers are
purchased the part to take home and repairs. Currently, organization has used the excel
spreadsheet that store information about customers (Aydiner and et.al., 2019).
In this way, RME has been decided to develop new information that can operate by
internet and centralised database. It helps for collecting and gathering large number of data set in
proper manner. It replaces the current system to implement new one which are available for
different stores through internet. RME will design the new processing system that can store
details about purchase, sold in proper manner.

Justify the choice for selecting approach to system development.
It justifies for choosing the new system development for managing and controlling the
entire processing of transaction, store details about spare parts and many more. There are various
types of problem generated during executions where spreadsheet cannot link together in properly
so that it possible to fails salesperson (Goldstein, Johanndeiter and Frank, 2019). It also
generated limited capacity of PC platform which shows difficulties in the growth scale. The
choice of new system development is right because it easily manages and control processing of
RME business. It is to be considered as a web-based system that provide the information of
product, purchase, delivery in rapidly.
TASK 2
Identify the primary functional requirement for new system.
Functional requirements are including the system function and features that development
can implement and enables user to accomplish task. In RME, software consultant must clear their
doubt and coordinate with development team for identifying the nature of system under different
conditions.

Determine the non-functional requirements for the new system.
The Non-functional requirements always describe the behaviour of system and how it can
establish the constraints of functionality. The requirements are considered the new system
quality and its attributes.

TASK 3
Discuss about the overall project cost and Perform the analysing with the help for Excel.
In order to assess the viability of concerned project investment appraisal tool has been applied.
This in turn helps in evaluating the attractiveness of project using techniques namely payback,
net present value method etc. Moreover, payback clearly presents time within business entity
will recover initial investment (Michalitsi, Psarrou and et.al., 2019). Further, NPV presents the
benefits which company will get after specific time period by taking into account time value of
money concept.

Interpretation
In the above scenario it is identified that company is planning to introduce new project
for enhancing the processes of company. Company has laid down the criteria for the viability of
project. It requires the development cost of budget to be within 0.8 million excluding the yearly
maintenance cost. The breakeven point of company should not go above 3 years after the
introduction of new project. Company also states that the NPV of project should not go below
0.25 million.
The benefit will be raised by acceptance of new project is $235000 as the RME will increase
in sales of 9% and there is also reduction in cost of 11%. It also continues over for years. The

project will require cost of $200000 for staffing, $350000 for hardware and the $100000 for user
training. The total costing of project is $650000. NPV of project is coming to $289,357.12 using
the discounting rate of 6% which is above $0.25miilliion. The break even or payback period of
project is also coming to 2.8 years which is not longer than 3 years after the introduction of
project.
TASK 4
Represent work break down structure and project schedule in the form of Gantt chart with brief
explanation.
A work breakdown structure is based on the project development process that organize the team
work into manageable ways (Turetken, Grefen and Adali, 2019). It defines the overall flow of
activities performed for system development. it is considered the step by step process where
project team understand the requirement of development phases.

structure is look like tree which represents the subdivision requires for achieving goals and

successively managing all responsibility, time duration.

Discuss the system goal, requirements and scope of new project and understand project schedule.
It is an essential for new project design and development to understand their specific task that
acquire data from existing system. It helps for identifying the tools/platforms and methodologies
that useful to achieve objectives (Turkman and Taweel, 2019).
Goal: A system is successful when it has met the requirement of stakeholders. It is an
essential for identifying the stakeholders. The primary goal is to improve the product and
services through new system which help for increasing performance of business operations.
Requirements: For developing new system, it should require resources such as hardware
or software system that useful for operating the new system. It applicable for generating an
accurate results or outcomes.
Scope: The scope of project development is that when it covers data related existing
system and how it will be preventing or dealing with change requests of their overall processing.
Project Schedule: It will create the task that need to be carried out deliverable determined
followings:
ï‚· An appropriate effort is required for completing the task.
ï‚· The resources will carry out according to the need of task completion.
At that point, it can choose the software package that create an appropriate schedule. On the
other hand, input all deliverable task and resources those who will complete in proper manner.
TASK 5
Discuss about the stakeholders that involved.
A new system development project is successfully completed, which requires specific objectives
and goals that help for identifying resources in decision making. There are multiple stakeholders
involved in the project development process such as Manager, staff members, customers etc.
They can perform various type of operations where manager deal with software developer to
identify the overall procedures and also fixed specific deadline for project completion (van
Engelenburg, Janssen and Klievink, 2019).
Team members involves for making strategy planning to apply methodology because it
helps for increasing the capabilities and performance. Consumers are those who will access the
details by using new system and check the details of products. The project useful for developing
the good relationship between them.

Describe three useful Investigation techniques.
System information investigation technique is a method for collecting and gathering data
about new system because it useful for improving understanding towards new system. There are
three common investigation technique useful.
Observation of system in the operation- this type of technique is identified the overall
performance of system. It can be observed their process during task executions. It is the most
common technique that easily record the observation by manager or team leaders of
development.
Current system documentation- This type of investigation method will help for software
consultant to analyse the features and functionality of existing system. Furthermore, it can be
identified that how it will add more features. The technique useful for identifying essential
features for improving the overall processing (Weske, 2019).
Survey- It is the most common technique to conduct survey and interact with the client
where they can give their own opinion regarding existing system. If it is not good for
organization while it will change according to requirement of consumers.
Justification of three useful investigation techniques.
It justified that these three-investigation techniques suitable for new project development
because it helps for consultant to understand the current trends in global market. It can be
determined the different type of benefits to hold the entire details about consumers, supplier in
proper manner. These techniques will give brief idea about the opinion of consumers which is
the most important for organization. Developer team also investigates existing documentation to
study about their functionality because it helps for identifying the functionality and can develop
new system.

REFLECTION AND CONCLUSION
This report is based on the understanding about the existing system of RME firm that can
maintain and control the overall business activities. Here, I have learnt about the specific aim and
objective of RME that help for me to gain more knowledge about the process. I also improve my
own ability for identifying resources for project development and design.
From the findings above, it concluded that Information system analysis and design is a type
of process that applicable in the enterprises for maintaining the information about consumers,
suppliers, payments and orders by using new system. In above discussion, it can be identified the
importance of new system in organization that perform all task effectively and efficiently. It has
been summarised to calculate the overall cost which requires for developing and designing the
system. It has led to demonstrate about gaining more knowledge which always influence towards
existing system and its activities in organization.
