Discussion
The report discussed why the ERP system is needed to replace manual recording
system of the ABC pvt. Limited. Limitations of manual record keeping process are data
duplication and data loss due to human error which has been stated. Various steps of
implementing the ERP system and project breakdown structure also has been provided and
the precaution measurements to implement ERP has also been described as the whole sales of
the company will be depending on the ERP software(Lin, Zhao & Wei, 2014). Need of
precision and adequate amount of testing has also been discussed for better result. The project
timeline consisting of a significant amount for testing ERP software has been provided. The
system design part consists of the requirements and constraints of implementation and
assumptions made.
The system is important for the company as it has many branches and every branch
consists of 1000 employees approximately. The number of employees is growing therefore,
in order to effectively carry out the management of the work processes of the company(Kilic,
Zaim & Delen, 2015), development of an ERP system is proposed. The ERP system will help
in precisely keep record of items sold, ordered and processed.
The project has been made after researching thoroughly about ERP system though,
the estimated cost of the ERP system implementation has not been stated. Drawbacks of the
project if any, has to be mentioned along with the future impacts of it on ABC pvt limited.
The project will not need major revision but some modifications like cost of
implementation should be mentioned and the impact of ERP on the employees of the
company should be mentioned along with the potential human job reduction.
