Project Description
The paper mainly reflects on the development of an information system
for an organization which earlier utilizes manual system for managing its
operations. It is found that due to the use of manual system, a lot of
challenges arises including redundancy of data, high access time, lack of
security as well as higher cost. In order to resolve the issue and for
making the organization competitive, the higher management of the
organization wants to implement an information system.
With the development of an information system, the organization can be
able to automate its operation which helps in executing the business
functions quite efficiently. In addition to this, the organization can increase
productivity and can be able to provide proper service to the customers
for making them satisfied.
The deliverables of project include:
Information system
User manual
Documentation for the workers
Testing will be conducted by the project team members in order to ensure that
the information system which is developed is working properly and will be
helpful in managing the operations of the organization efficiently.
Out of scope includes:
Training facility will not be delivered to the team members of the project
Workshops will not be arranged for helping the workers.
Additional funding is not kept for providing facility of accommodation to the
workers who work for extra hours.
The project manager who is assigned in this project is also handling some
other extra work which will create obstruction for him to guide the team
members
Internet shutdown is one of the major issues that the area is facing
regularly.
The assumed budget is considered to be enough for implementing the
system effectively on time.
The team members will attend all the team meeting in order to know the
status of the project.
Proper working environment will be present for the team members so that
they will not lose interest in the project.
Key Stakeholders The key stakeholders include tutor, student as well as the supervisor.
Testing will not be conducted efficiently due to lack of knowledge and
experience of the testers.
