The primary aim of this paper is to discuss about the issues present in information system
functions. In order to support the discussion it will analyze the business scenario of “Colin &
John” with the purpose to analyze the ethical issues, global as well as social responsibilities. As
the nominated business has faced several ups and downs in recent years. Along with this it will
also discuss about the ethical considerations while operation information system into the
organization’s infrastructure.
Discussion:
After a thorough investigation of thee nominated case scenario it is noticed that Colin &
John is an Australian small business that has primarily focused on the supplies house hold
essentials which includes the toilet accessories, clearing, baby products as well as handy
furniture. Due to effective services offered by Colin & John, the company has gained a huge
profit for many years. However, due to poor technical infrastructure of the organization they
have faced huge problem performing organizational activities like communication with
customers and suppliers, operations related to pricing as well as detailed information of about
their offered services (Benitez et al., 2018).
Followed by knowing the detailed information about the nominated company being an e-
business consultant I have taken an initiative towards the development of e-commerce website in
order to provide an edge to “Colin & John” services over the over competitors.

Along with the identification of above issues it is also noticed that e-commerce business
also causes several ethical issues that has a significant impact on the effectiveness of the
nominated business (Ledwaba, Pelser and Fatoki 2019).
Followed by the above discussion a list of ethical challenges in e-commerce business is
mentioned below:-
Web spoofing- is one of the biggest threat of e-business as in these types of attacks the
attacker develops a fake website of the targeted business to decoy their customers.
Cyber Squatting- are popularly known for extorting the payment from the original
business.
Privacy Invasion- is nothing but a huge threat towards the personal data of the user in
which the attacker tries to access the user data to misuse these data.
Email Spamming- is also one of the ethical threat of e-business as by using this the
attacker traps the customers by sending spam emails.
Online Privacy- due to the significance of unauthorized access of the customer data there
is a huge threat present related to online privacy.
Phishing- is one of the threats by which the attacker steals online user data for illegal
activities.

After completion of the above discussion it can be concluded that the primary objective
of these study was to analyze the limitations of “Colin & John” Company. Thus, during the
analysis it is observed that the adoption off advance business concepts like e-business will
majorly help to improve the business of “Colin & John”. However, along with these
