INTRODUCTION
Information system is an integrated set of components that is used for collecting, storing
and processing information and data in order to provide information, knowledge as well as
digital products. These are used for carrying out various operations for increasing efficiency of
the operations. There are different business firms which are using information system for
increasing the interaction with suppliers and customers. In the present report, the company which
is considered is Torreate Logo Group. This is having headquarters in Billund, Denmark. This is
one of the largest toy manufacturing company of the world (Muryono, 2019). Main products of
this company are bricks and figures which helps children from playing within generations. There
is need for this company to have flexible and robust IT infrastructure with business capabilities
which will help management to perform in a good manner.
Benefits of IS to the company
Bringing in information system and digitalisation in an organisation is helping companies to
grow and reach large number of customers. Following this trend Torreate Lego group also went
to grow its reach with the help of online communities and bringing in information system in their
business. There are a number of benefits which Lego have been gaining from use of information
system in the organisation. Some of those benefits brought to company by information system
are: Benefits from Real time Data: Information system has a major function of storing data
and keeping it up to date. This function is effectively used in Lego Group as well.
Company take benefit of well managed real time data from information system. The data
stored in this includes everything from marketing to finance. It is applicable on all
different departments in this business organisation, providing benefits to every function
in organisation. Better Communication: It is necessary for management in every organisation to develop
such a network of communication in the organisation which can distribute information
whenever required and to whomever required. Information system in Torreate Lego is
helping managers to effectively disseminate the required data to be shared by managers
and leaders. Information system also makes it possible to communicate data remotely so

that it can be shared amongst appropriate employees. It enables to save time and efforts
of employees as well as management to share information in organisation. Reduced Errors: There are a number of chances in manually handling data that data can
be filled in repeatedly. It is also often seen that data is misplaced. But while using
information system no human error can tamper the data. In Lego Group information
system helps to manage the data effectively without any errors. As an after effect of this
the results which are derived from the use of data are more accurate due to reduced errors
in data management. Greater productivity levels: There are a number of tasks which are to be performed by
employees in an organisation. When employees are free from data keeping and other
tasks that information system is doing for them they can easily focus on their skills. This
will ultimately reduce their efforts which can be put towards their core job. In this way
Lego Group is increasing the productivity level of employees which is ultimately
increasing productivity of overall organisation with the help of information system. More informed decision making: Information system are often used in decision making
processes. It is necessary in Torreate Lego that the organisational leaders are having
effective and accurate information which is up to date so that they may take decisions
about the possibilities in future. Real time data, proper forecast, past trends, and so all
these information is required by a leader to take an effective decision. All this is brought
to leader by information system. In this way information system enables leaders as well
as managers in Torreate Lego to take decisions for positive results in future.
 Record Keeping: It is necessary for every organisation to keep a track of all their data.
There are a number of such data that are to be kept safe due to a number of industries
rules and regulations. Similar industrial rules are also applicable for Lego which includes
a number of financial data that are to be stored. Information system effectively makes
record keeping faster, easier as well as more accurate. Lego is also using it for better
forecast of future and also take understandings from the fact that how past decisions and
actions are affecting business today.
Solution plan to the Torreate management
The Torreate Lego group has started to use distributed architecture which is helpful for
the authorised personnel in having direct access to the database. It will help to operate from

different corners of the world including North America, Europe and Asia. There are different
modules which have various advanced features such as talent management and this is helpful in
managing and handling workforce effectively (Shkeer, and Awang, 2019). In this way,
management is able to handle administration, time and report as well as travel efficiently. The
human resource department is now able to select the best candidates who can work towards
company's success. The new information system helps Torreate Lego company for selecting best
candidates and conducting periodic training. There is a stimulus plan developed for retaining the
employees and increasing employee turnover.
There is a computer architecture that consists of logical functions such as instruction sets. This
enables addressing of modes and increases coordination between software and hardware. There
is a relational database used in this company which stores data and information in a row table.
This connects data elements for managing business processes effectively (Tonny, Palash, and
Moniruzzaman, 2019). The database and architecture system is helpful to integrate the business
processes effectively. This is helpful in having a proper management of business in context of
human resource and supply chain.
There are advanced features like SAP software which includes having different types of tools
which are used by different vendors for enhancing the efficiency of data. The Torreate Logo
group has to keep track of staff in order to evaluate their performance. The new IS is helpful in
evaluating the career development skills, forecasting and knowledge skills of the individual.
It is very important for this organisation to adopt new and advanced technology for
implementing good services and products. When the process and functions of company are
working in an effective manner then there are chance of effective functioning.
Evaluate and illustrate the links between computing architecture and business processes
There is link between computing architecture and business processes. IT management is
defined as managerial process by which it is easy for a company to plan, develop and operate the
enterprise architecture (Valentine, and et.al, 2019). It is ensured by the IT managers that the
system on which the company is working must provide support for process demand in order to
attain goals. The process model for IT within an organisation if needed for executing the process
in order to manage the achievement of goals and objectives. This process focuses upon business
architecture and there is representation of analysis, evaluation and improvement of business
activities and processes (Warhover, and et.al, 2020). There is inclusion of various operational

and technical activities which are needed for implementing, operating and maintaining the
functioning of information system. Data is properly managed as it is planned, implemented and
monitored properly.
CONCLUSION
From the above discussion, it is analysed that implementing an effective information
system within the company is helpful for easing the functioning of business processes and
activities. The information technology is helpful in managing different resources within the
company. There is need for companies to have effective IT systems so that it is easy to manage
the business functions. The computer architecture enables description of the way in which
software and hardware technologies interact with each other in order to create a computer
platform. It is helpful in developing database which includes information about client and
customer.
