INTRODUCTION
The information system is defined as the set of specified parts that assemble,
manipulates, store & distribute the data and the needful data to the concern person so that they
can rightly take the better decisions in order to motivate their respective employees for their
better performance. All this required information is based on the factor that how the different
organisation operate their general operations which can appropriately intract with the supplier,
customer and also serve huge market place (Oppelt, 2018). Big data also concern with
managing of data sets of large which can not be analysed by the outdated or the traditional
methods such as processing software which can not further analysis the data in a given period of
time. These big data is the main aspects having their main appraoch that implies in the target
market. This particular report will cover the certain types of theories & methods that can rightly
related to the IT solutions such as DSS, KSM, ESS, MIS & also the various factors of IT on the
globalisation. They further understand the benefits & demerits within the company in context to
the digital infrastructure. Lastly, this report enlist the factors that are risk connect to the
information system.
Task 1: Theories, methods and techniques which relate to the design
and development for TWO of the IT solutions listed here: (i)
McAfee; (ii) Moodle; (iii) Canvas; (iv) MS Office
The IT system is the group of various services of software or can be the programs. These
all are joined together as the core package or the sale and this is wider term term that also
includes the installing & the better use of computing & telecommunications. following are the
different types of information technology solutions which are illustrate below:
Canvas: This is the solution that is being utilised as the management consulting & the
technology service company (Canvas, 2022). They consist of better relationship with the leading
organisations & with their firms of small & large so that they can understand their need of the IT
sector. It also access the appropriate tool that enhance the online learning in different ways or it
can be interpreted that this is the visual representations of the company any given model which
also shows all the core strategic factor. This also assists the firm to visualize design & manage

their overall venture model. From various start-up firm, this also leads them to have the clear
view of their practices, finance. Value, propositions, buyer ad finance.
MS Office: It is the significant part of computer system which is developed by Microsoft
for the analysis of business operations. This also operate the function by patenting the products
in specific company. In current time, MS office is enjoying the preponderating model in
transfering the modern business approaches that is also related to the documents while managing
the certain software. These are the practices which is leading to have the better functions so that
they can rightly operated in the market(Microsoft Office, 2020). This software is currently
present in approx. 35 language & they is six main given programs that also involve the word,
published one note, access & power point presentation. Moreover, there is the major leading
Microsoft which shows that the PPT & this is also visual presentation. The another aspects that is
Microsoft word that is the word processor & the third is excel tat is spreadsheet. In current time,
an organisation can effectively manage their operations and can take the benefits of office web
applications for apple and the android. Moreover, there are various types of word processors like
Hemingway that has shown the options for specific type of editing & also keeping the different
patterns.
Task 2: Explanation of the systems below with relevant
examples
DSS (Decision Support System)
It is termed as the computerised system that is working with the core aim of getting
effective judgement & the determinations so that they can rightly work & understand the data of
producing the comprehensive report of accurate given information. This also involves the
decision support system which can be diversified from normal operations in which they can
perform the various function by which they can collect data(Dhindsa, Bhandari and Sonnadara,
2018). This also allows the company an their users to have the better decisions. Additionally they
can enhance their efficiency & with in the set time period, they tends to solves particular issues
in an appropriate manner.
ESS (Executive Support System)

it refers to the technology that is concerned with the human resource and also assits the
workers or the individual to function in certain job role and also keep changing their personal
information so that they can ensures the effective working and company can use the data and the
information for having effective decisions. furthermore, this also involves the workers & the
authentic data is required for those type of decisions related to the management and they can
serve in a better way to their users in comparison to DSS.
TPS (Transaction Processing System)
This is the software that is used to keep the track of various transactions by analysing &
process the data that is being added and then the data is being deleted from their record. For
ensuring the smooth functioning of their data in day-to-day activity of an organisation. This is
important process which is having various aspects and this is completely depends upon the
business to business and their overall functionality(Transaction Process System (TPS), 2018).
There are various example of TPS that consist of the sale order entry, reservation system of
hotels & their staff record, payroll & shipping.
MIS (Management Information System)
This is refers to the combined set of system that is generally meant to collect & give the
related, reliable & useful information and the data for the venture. This also helps the overall
decision making process. This is the effective process or the toll that is being accessed by
organisation with the core objective of reviewing & also leads to control the operations of the
company. The main consideration of management information system is to have the best use of
their system or the procedure. Few examples of MIS software is Microsoft Dynamics, Tharstern
& Fleetmatics Ltd. and so on.
KSM (Knowledge Management System
The IT system which stores & retries the knowledge for the collaboration & collecting
the information and the data in an appropriate manner which is also leading to have the proper
alignment. KSM can have the business firms but they can use their knowledge of their clients
and the customers. This is the effective tool which is sued to analyse the overall functionality

and uphold the performance of the company. Example of KSM is Spartan Race's knowledge
base(Knowledge Management System (KMS), 2022).
Task 3: Globalization and the effects of IT on globalization
Globalisation is the aspects the describe the growing the venture in the various culture,
economics and population. This can be bought in certain boundaries of domestic boundaries
which are operating in their goods and services, technology, flow of investment & so on. It is the
aspects which is related to the expansion of domestic & local analysis of venture and make sure
the effective flow of goods products services in different parts of world(Di Ruggiero, 2020).
With the development of IT sector, people can connect to various people at a point of time across
the world. This also helps the people to coordinate the people around the world. Innovation leads
to have the opening up of new opportunities across the world. They are having the better
consideration in the working of software over network with the effective collaborative across the
world. The multinational company can rightly operating as the main actor in the globalization
and this is launched in 1990 and the up gradation is being generated from telegram to the
telephone. Moreover, the introduction of air plane by the individual who can effectively take the
change in the consideration of globalisation. This is the factor which makes trade easy for
everyone. This also gives the beneficial benefits to the organisation that can rightly enhance the
profitability & productivity. There are various points which enlist the effect of globalisation on

Effect of IT on the globalization
It is the aspects which is spreading out as the operations & the integrations with the other
country and the technology so that this is one of the main tool that is being used as the
innovation also helps in the innovation of technology by which they can meet the competitive
advantages in various nations. Effective code of conduce can be gain so that they can ensures the
betterment in their technologies.
 Acceptability of globalisation practices and the certain barriers which is connected to the
huge tariff which can be minimised also so that cost of transportation can be maintained.
 Foreign direct investment is increasing with the more investment due to the innovation &
the collaboration with the various companies. Capital formation gives the positive results

to the GDP by rising the foreign direct investment. This also ensures the attainment of the
economy with the use of new technology(Rodriguez, and Erazo, 2021).
 Information technology ensures the more efforts of exchange of information so that they
can raise their resources to the national and international bonders. This also leads to get
the new ideas and the advance method of business. This expansion also get the new
method of conducing business.
Task 4: Definition, example, advantages and disadvantages
of digital infrastructure
It defines the access of digital technology which also establish the foundation of IT the
organisation & various functions. There are various pillar of business for operating their
business. For instance, the internal backbone, data centre, networks and broadband are certain
example of digital infrastructure. following are the various advantage & disadvantages of DI
that are as follows:
Advantages
 Digital infrastructure helps in recovering the lost data in an easy manner that is always
stores in its clouds.
 This also helps in effective transfer of data and the information which also get it from the
cloud by using the cloud with the help of shared storage so that they can enhance their
collaboration.
 By this, the overall profitability of the company can be raised as the cost get minimised in
order to understand the customer's wants and their behaviour so that they can rightly
enhance the overall productivity of the business. Moreover, the internal cloud also get
more efficiency to the business and also also make data accessible to all.
 This also allow the user to have the direct interaction which also leads to maintain their
cost and the cloud services which can minimise the hardware & the software maintenance
fee for the business(Hall, 2018).

 This also leads to have the better services of security & privacy of data to the customers
that also access the different characteristics that is related to the privacy & security. This
also helps in building the trust among the customer that data is in safe hands.
Disadvantages
 An organisation is having the specific problem in transportation better services form one
place to another. generally, this also leads the certain problem in transferring in data &
information.
 The modern practices of digital infrastructure also impact the surrounding environment
and integrated with the various problems which can leads to have air pollution during the
manufacturing of goods and services which can adversely impact the health of the
individual.

Risks linked to the information systems outsourcing
The outsource information system that also leads to give the competitive benefit to all the
business. But this do not access any type benefit that is unsafe for the venture to put the
information system outside the business. There are various risk which is linked with the
information & is explained as follows:
 Uncertainty of Business: as when the firm has finalise to outsource the IT services just
because with the overall cost & focus. Further they realised that the future direction &
their needs are just clear(Agarwal and El-Sayed, 2018). For any type of uncertainly, there
must be effective business strategies which can rightly meet the emerging challenges.
 Hidden cost: It is the risk which associated with the aspects that the user is not aware
about how much total they have to collected for the future & they can not anticipated
technical documentary.
Why is IT infrastructure so critical to digital transformation!

Information technology is the vital component & also considered for better digital
transformation & hence, this is being evaluated as the major pillar of the company. It also access
the venture to enhance their agility and risk taking. In relation to the company, the right
execution of technology and the investment. When an organisation wants to expand or grow
their business then they required to haver the data and the information related to the critical
application of data which can connects the business in an appropriate manner.
CONCLUSION
It is concluded from the above report that the information and the data is being managed
and access with various advantages and disadvantages to the business firms. There are different
information system such as DSS, KSM, ESS and MIS, TPS that all are being utilised for having
smoothing functioning of the business and also take better decision foe the expansion and growth
of the business. Moreover, the IT also influenced the globalization in various manner as this is
very appropiate to linked to the any person around the world. This also lads to save the money
and time of the individual. This is the major consideration of the business to improve the
productivity and profitability of the organisation by helping them with the various ways. This is
the vital part of an organisation as this is having the major role any adverse elements. Lastly,
there are various risk that are related to the IT & also giving certain consideration to every
business venture.
