INTRODUCTION
Information system is defined as the software that helps organize and analyze data. So, the
purpose of an information system is to turn raw data into useful information. Executive
Information system, is another type of information system which generally used to help the
company in analyzing different sort of trend analysis, exception reporting and have drill-down
capabilities. Main Aim behind conducting report for the organization is to understand the
different category of information system which are present in total. Also, understanding the
different function which is performed by this sort of tool in the organization to manage different
sort of data in the organization. Another objective of conducting the report was to understand the
different concept of ERP system and also ways through which ERP system can be used to
manage and control the variety of the information available in the market. Also, to analyze
different functional operation which are performed in the organization. Another objective of
conducting the report was to understand the different benefit which is brought by the ERP
system to the business. In the end the report highlights the different recommendation for
different organization.

Information system is defined as different tool which is used to organize and analyze different
sort of data available. Information system is generally used by organization to turn the raw data
in a way that it can be presented in a meaning full ways so that organization can make different
decision in an organization. There are five component on basis of which information system is
performed i.e. Computer Hardware, Computer Software, telecommunication, Data bases and
Human resource. There are many different categories of information system. Some of them are,
Transaction Processing System is one of such system. This category of information system is
used for the purpose of record keeping in an organization. This generally helps me conducting
different operation of a business. This tool is used to keep an eye on sales order, payroll and
keeping the record of shipping records. This type of the software is used in the organization for
the purpose of periodic generation in a schedule manner. TPS is also used in the organization
for producing reports on demand as well as expectation report in the organization. Decision
support system is another form of information system which is generally used to use good sort of

sophisticated data analysis tool in the organization. This generally used to help the company in
solving variety of different problem which is faced by the organization. This category of tool is
generally used by the organization when nature of problem is very complex and it is getting
difficult for the organization to carry out different information to solve same issue in an
organization (Liu and et.al., 2017).
Executive Information system, is another type of information system which generally
used to help the company in analyzing different sort of trend analysis, exception reporting and
have drill-down capabilities. For the same reason this is used by senior management of the
organization in the market. This tool in generally used to present a data in a graphical form as
per the need of the executive of the organization need. Management Information System is the
type of information system tool which used to present the routine summary of basic operation
which used to take place in the organization. Variety of the essential services of the organization
is generally recorded by the TPS and MIS used to consolidate different data related to sales and
production. As a result MIS used to provide day to day report to manager and help them in
making different decision in an organization. This tool used to help the company in improving
the efficiency of the business in a long run. As it used to provide good hand of support to
marketing, production and finance activity (Zhong, Song and Chen, 2016).
Other than that Workflow System is another information system in the organization.
Workflow system is a ruled based management system that used to perform many different
activities that is directing, coordinating and monitoring execution of variety of the interrelated
task for a business process. There are three sub Workflow system in an organization I.e.
Administrative workflow, Ad-hoc workflow system and Production workflow system.
Enterprise resource planning is another system which used to allow the business to use a system
of integrated program capable of managing company’s virtual business operation in the
organization. Another important information system is Expert System, this system in the
organization used to make the variety of different type of suggestion and act like a expert in the
particular field of an organization (Valentine and et.al., 2019).
Enterprise resource planning System
Enterprise resource planning is the system which used to help the company in integrating
all the major enterprise function of an organization. Major functions are HR, planning,
procurement, sales, customer relations, finance or analytics. ERP generally used to provide the

integrated and continues update view of different core operation of the business. ERP software
of the organization used to track the different business resources of an organization that is cash,
raw material, production capacity and different commitment of and organization that can be
order, payroll and different order of an organization. This is the biggest reason by which
organization used to manage the wide information in the organization. As it has been highlighted
by having this sort of the information about the different commitment and operation of the
business (Theorin and et.al., 2017). Organization is able to make different decision in the
organization very easily, this eventually used to help the organization in managing the different
information very easily in the organization. Another thing which used to help the organization in
managing the different information in the organization is that this software used to help the

There are many type of functional area of ERP software, these are generally called and
grouped as a ERP module. Some of the functional areas are financial accounting, ERP system
used to help the company in managing general ledger, assets, collection, cash management and
payment receivables. Sales, Used to implement different function such as order scheduling,
shipping and invoicing. Procurement, Used to provide supports to end to end procurement and
logistic process in the organization this eventually used to help the company in maximizing the
cost saving in the organization. Not only had that used to manage the CRM function of
organization as well (Zhao, Wang and Ni, 2020). As ERP system used to help the
organization in capturing and maintaining different need of the customer in the organization in a
way that it used to help in maintain good sort of relationship with the customer, at the same time
it also used to enhance the level of customer experience in an organization. Another external
function which is performed by ERP system is the Distribution function of an organization.
Generally ERP system in the organization used to control variety of the warehouse process in
the organization and on the basis of the same used to manage the movement of different
inventory from the organization. This eventually used to help the company in enhancing the
level of distribution operation of the business in the organization (Favot, Veit and
Massarutto, 2016).

the Human resource function of an organization. As it has seen that ERP system of an

There are many different type of benefit which is brought by the ERP system of the
organization. Synchronizing of different information, it is the biggest benefit which is brought
by the ERP system in the organization. As with the help of ERP portal organization is able to
bring different information in a way that it used to help the organization in making different
decision very easily in the organization. As ERP system in the organization used to present the
data in the way that it used to link with the different problem which are faced in the
organization. This eventually used to help the company in getting good sort of support for
solving the different issue which is faced by the organization in the market (Tan and et.al.,
2018).
ERP system in the organization also used to provide the services of inventory
optimization in the organization, this function is performed by the organization by sales
forecasting and reporting variety of the information regarding order scheduling, shipping and

organization. Such as revenue and invoice. This generally used to help the organization in
optimum utilization of different asset in the organization. Also implementing ERP in the
organization will help the company in finding out Chronological history of every transaction
through relevant data compilation in every area of operation. Also it has been find out that ERP
system in the organization used to help the organization in reducing the amount of the wastage
in the organization as with the help of ERP system used to match purchase order, inventory
receipt and costing of different product in the organization (Trinoverly, Handayani and
Azzahro, 2018).
Biggest of all the benefit which is brought by ERP system is that it used to integrate
myriad business processes in the organization, this eventually used to improves the efficiency of

the organization. This generally used to help the company in making variety of the decision very
quickly in the organization. As with the help of ERP Data become more visible to the

 After going through above report, it is concluded that there are many different
information system which are there in real and all tool used to bring the variety of the
benefit for the organization. So it has been recommended to organizations that they
incorporate variety of the information system in the organization as it will help the
company in maintain the good and reliable amount of information in the organization to
solve variety of different type of issue which is faced by the organization in real.
 After that report conclude that ERP system in the organization used to help organization
in tracking variety of the resources of the organization, this eventually used to reduce the
amount of resource wastage in the organization. This eventually used to help the
company in optimum utilization of different resources. So for the same reason it has been
recommended to the organization that they should adopt ERP system in the organization,
this will eventually help the company in getting good sort of cost benefit in the
organization. As more number of unit will be produced in the organization in the same
number of the unit invested.
 It has been also summarized that ERP system used to help the organization in making
different decision making faster in the organization. So it has been recommended to
organization to adopt same in the organization, this will eventually help the company in
enhancing the quality of decision making in the organization.
