Answer to Question No. 1
In 2016-17 total number of households that were recorded in New South Wales is
2862600 and the number of households having internet access in New South Wales is 2439900.
Hence the proportion of household having internet access at their home in New South Wales is
equal to,
2439900/2862600 = 0.852.
Therefore, the proportion of household in New South Wales having internet access is 0.852.
As, compared to the total number of households in New South Wales, 85.2% of
household to have an access to internet.
Answer to Question No. 2
ADSL Broadband – The abbreviated form stands for Asymmetric Digital Subscriber Line. This
kind of broadband connection are provided over the telephone lines at home. One who do not
have a landline connection at home, have to rent a telephone in order to enjoy the ADSL
broadband connection. Premises having a landline connection need to apply for a connection,
and the connection will be provided and it will be added to the package of existing landline
connection. The connection is reliable and of high quality connection, but it is not as fast as fibre
broadband. In case of the telephone exchange is far away from home or the connection cables are
getting degraded, the speed and the quality of the connection is likely to drop considerably [1].

Wireless Broadband – Wireless broadband connection is a high-speed internet connection that
is provided using wireless technologies such as wireless local area network (WLAN) or wireless
wide area network (WWAN) [2]. Depending on the kind of usage the connection comes in either
fixed or mobile setups. The fixed setups are used at homes and offices. By using Local
Multipoint distribution System and Multichannel Multipoint Distribution Service the connection
can be distributed among several machines in an organisational setup. Mobile connections are
constituted with the services that are commonly known as Wi-Fi Hotspot [3].
NBN Technologies – The NBN that stands for National Broadband Network is a network for
high speed broadband connection that has been started by the Australian Government. The
company has been owned by the Australian Government and they has initiated the project of
providing high speed internet connections all across Australia [12]. The objective of this
initiative by the government of Australia is to provide high speed broadband connection to every
homes and offices of Australia to make them have an access to e-health services, entertainment,
telephony and likewise. A range of broadband technologies are being used for this project such
as FTTP, FTTB, FTTN, HybridFibre Coax (commonly known as Pay TV Cable), Fixed Wireless
and Satellites [5].
After the brief discussion of the types of broadband connections that are available in
Australia, it has to be analysed that which connection should be appropriate for which areas. In
the cities of the Australia, where there will be an obvious demand for more data services, usage
of very high-speed internet is mandatory so that all of the process remains in the track of
continuation. Hence, the project that the Australian Government has initiated as National
Broadband Network should be applicable to the cities of Australia. Such connections can handle
the data traffic and can provide adequate speed and quality of the connection. In the regional

parts of Australia, where there is a sufficient demand for the services but not will be as high as
compared to the cities, wireless broadband connections are appropriate [11]. Mobility of the
connection will be maintained as well as the institutions and organisations can also have the
service of a better quality of internet connection. In the remote areas of Australia there will be
less data traffic as compared to the other parts of the country. Hence, a reliable connection is
required in such parts of the country with a reasonable speed [10]. Therefore ADSL broadband
could be an appropriate option for the remote Australia.

The term Digital Divide is the difference between two groups of people, where one
group of people have the access to the Internet while the other group do not have the access to
the Internet. The division between the sections of the people is made as those who do not have
the access to the Internet are considered to be on the side of the disadvantage as the amount of
knowledge that is found online is vast and they are deprived of it [5].
In my personal opinion when there is a classification made between the people who has
Internet access and who does not then it is certain that there will be a feel of depravedness will
come. As a result, the people who are deprived will surely try themselves to bring into the circle
of the knowledge access. Hence, there will be an increment in the rate of broadband adoption.

IPTV stands for Internet Protocol Television that delivers the television programs
through a broadband network and the programs are either live or on demand. The broadcasting of
the programs is done through the technology of Internet Protocol via the broadband network [6].
Unlike the cable or satellite television, the programs on IPTV are on demand that is the user can
watch whatever program whenever they want to.

The two key reasons for which people do use desktop or laptops over other devices such
as smartphones or mobiles for better performance are:
Power – The desktops consume more power as compared to the smartphones due to the
heavy workload that a desktop can take upon as compared to smartphones. Hence, a
heavy workload can be executed in a desktop.
Internet Connectivity – The Internet connectivity in the desktop is mainly given through
an Ethernet cable and the connectivity remains consistent throughout the time of usage.
Whereas the connectivity of a smartphone is mainly based upon wireless networks which
may get affected due to various reasons such as router malfunctioning, issues within
network provider and likewise [7].

embarrassment among the people associated in the social media sites. Sometimes, the harassment
crosses the limit and can lead to criminal and illegal actions.

In an Anti-bullying program in a school, having an Information System will be beneficial
as that would let to demonstrate the actual scenario to the students and they can understand the

In the first step the customer steps in the bank and fill up the Application form of supply
of credit card. Then the clerk receives the submitted form of the customer and checks if the
customer is a new customer of the bank or not. If the client is an old candidate then the clerk
optimize the credit score if the credit card is optimized then the system administrator receives the
form from the clerk and he or she inputs the customer information in the bank data base. Then
the admin validates the information and if the information are invalid then he or she informs the
customer and if the provided information is valid then the admin approves the credit and the
customer receives the credit card. Now if the customer is new to the bank then the candidate has
to open a bank account and then he or she will apply for the credit card. Then the above
mentioned steps will be conducted.

Answer to question (iii)
The current model can be digitalized such that the whole process become user friendly.
The recommended process is to make an application for the customer where they can apply for
the credit card without visiting the bank premises. In the recommended application, First the
customer the open the application and log in the page. The system then validates the provided
input of the customer. If the system determines that the customer is new to the bank then the
client register and then again he or she has to log in in the first page. After log in the customer
fill up the application form of the credit card and then he or she submits the form. The system
then verify the customer credentials. If they are found valid then the credit card is optimised and
if the credit score is valid then the card is approved by the system. The customer then receive the
credit card. If the system determines that the customer is an existing client then he or she directly
fill up the application form and submit it and then the above mentioned steps are conducted.
