Answer to question 1.0
1. Moodle:
The design and development of Moodle has been guided by social constructionist theory
practice of learning and teaching. The theory describe that a group of people share their
knowledge together creating a small culture and artifices. One that participates in social culture
has an opportunity to learn about various concepts related to education and mostly importantly it
learns how to be part of the culture at all levels.
This digital tool has been designed for university students but now it is being used worldwide to
conduct online course for the leaners. This is famous for the flexibility and arability of the
resources that have attract students of primary and higher university, businesses and
government departments (Athaya, Nadir and et.al., 2021).
In year of 2002 Moodle has gone through many changes and updated version but the
most widely and stable version of Moodle is 1.9 xs. In year of 2010 new version Moodle 2.0 has
been launched which contain various improvements such as import and export of content,
scaffold courses, learning activities and improved evaluation through re designed Quiz. Although
user can share course to community hub and make use of site through mobile phone.
The development of Moodle App has been organized in following six steps such as:
Discovery: In the first stage stakeholders needs and demands were identified and
prioritized in order to meet the short term roadmap. This need to be done because
Moodle have various stakeholders.
Prioritisation: MoSCoW method has been used which an acronym is of
M- Must have
S- Should have
C- Could have
W- Won’t have.
Some of the must have criteria was new moodle workplace functionality, technology and
critical bugs.
Schedule: Only 4 to 6 version of Moodle App per year is released.
Shaping: In this stage two major things have been drafted such as high level design
solution is drafted and technical specification are created.
2

Implementation: In this stage developers and designer will work on building the
solution for shaping phase.
QA Testing:
When all the improvement have been fixed and tested a complete review of Moodle
App is done in order to identify any threat.
Release: The new version is launched on Google Play and Apple App store.
Evaluation: In this stage feedback has been collected in order to identify new features
and improvements.
2. Canvas
A canvas course site is one of the famous learning space through which students can interact
with the course. A well designed Canvas course can help in teaching students, foster community
and promote engagement for students. All these principles can be used to manage
communications, enhance productivity and improve feedback. This app has been designed with
motive of giving good experience to the learners so that it can focus and draw all their attention
of studies. However, if the space is not appealing then it will confuse users and it will spend
more time to figure out things (Husain, 2022). Thus, it will exhaust them when it’s time for
learning. Although effective designed has been given to Canvas course so that smooth
experience is given to users. Moreover, this application provides clear and explicit expectation to
the students so that unambiguous information is provided to them. In year 2011 Canvas was
developed as new generation learning management system was developed to work on cloud
computing and virtualization. Software engineering is core of Canvas and it was build to scale
from day one and it has allowed for a unique environment where engineers spend most of their
time in realising their new features instead of fixing legacy.
The development features of Canvas’s are to allow anyone to develop their app which adds
features to Canvas. Apps have an ability to import and export the content as well as apply effects
to images and more.

that has founded this system as very useful for dealing with information related to
products sales and market share.
3. TPS (Transaction Processing System)

It mainly deals with information that are of operational level activities and routine work. This
system supports functions of business including banking (Wang and Kogan, 2018). It is known
as software that ensures competition of business finance transaction and keep eye on it. This
type of system is mainly used by online company in order to run their e- commerce. It makes

hotel industry to manage inventories, rooms and bookings. It is also known as
central reservation system which is combined with hotel property.
4. MIS (Management Information System)
It is computer system which consist of various software and hardware that serves as the
backbone of company operation system Along with this, it gathers information through various

Answer to question 1(i)
It is known as core of internet and one of the fastest networks that are linked with fibre optics
connection and high performance routers. It is mainly owned by businesses, educational
department, government and military entities. Mainly it provides the stable foundation of internet
service, cloud providers, online content as well as applications services to end users and
businesses. Along with this, Tire 1 is one of the largest internet providers which are positioned at
top priority of internet eco system (Zegzhda, Lavrova and Shtyrkina, 2018). There is no owner of
internet services as it is massive and immense so government is trying to control internet for
some particular location but at global level there is no organized control. However the
infrastructure of the company has been owned by some large communication companies.
Moreover, internet connectivity is mainly viewed as a commodity and its performance is
different from the suppliers. There are certain factors which need to be considering while
selecting the internet such as reach, scalability, proximity and connectivity. Furthermore,
internet backbone is a high capacity data route that helps in sharing vital information worldwide
effectively. However backbones are hosted by institution, governments like university and
commercial entities like telecom organizations.
Advantage Disadvantage
The installation is easy and cheap. Fake news and spread illegal and unethical
material.
It connects people of remote areas which help
in communicating with them.
One of the major threats is virus and hacking
which can destroy important documents of
user and intellectual property of business.

Answer to question 1(ii)
Mobile telecommunication: It is also known as one of the classic example of digital
infrastructure which has become vital sources of communication. It is define as process of
transferring and receiving the information from remote area. The main purpose of introducing
this system is to maintain smooth flow of communication with help of mobile phones, wireless
device and computers (Bahri-Ammar and Bilgihan, 2019). Thus, in simple words it can be define
as use of technology that allows sharing information with others in different location without the
use of any physical connection like cables and wires. However, it saves time and makes the life
easier for users.
Advantage Disadvantage
The new features of telecommunication allow
user to access the internet from anywhere. It
is also a form of communication instead of
calling and texting. It is one of the vital
sources of business as it connects them with
their customer a worldwide.
High in cost as mainatenace is required
frequently.

manage their important documents as well
emails. Thus, it contributes in handling the
communication smoothly.
One of the major sources of workplace
distraction.
It is one of the effective tools to save the time
as work can quickly be completed from it.
