validate the use of data, computer devices, systems, processors and methods (Gupta and
et.al., 2019.).
Examples of digital infrastructure are listed below-
Internet backbone- It is the data route through which countries connect networks to form
the internet.
Mobile telecommunications- It provides the wireless communication services.
Communication satellites- These give information services.
Network infrastructure- Networks such as LAN, Wi-fi .
Cloud computing- It is a platform that put forward data storage and network services.
Applications- These are the software tools that are used by the people like apps on
mobile phones.
Application programming interface and integration- It allows different systems and
application to share information and work together. API has become the part of normal
operations of an economy in some scenarios.

Advantages of digital infrastructure-
Digital infrastructure also deal in the technology which is grounded on location like
Global Positioning System. It provides with the positioning, navigation and timing (PNT)
services.
The improved broadband services and location based technologies is supporting the
ideas in many industries like construction, farming and mining.
It is also helping the economy in delivering the services to the remote areas.
It helps in connecting with the people and places.
It improves productivity in an economy.
It improves sustainability and helps in adopting the new technologies.
Digital infrastructure has made it easy for the people to perform the banking, healthcare
activities through different applications (Niu, 2021).
Disadvantages of Digital infrastructure-
Data security- It is very tough to keep the data safe and secure, just because of a single
data breach, the confidential data of organization or any individual can go to the
business rivals, criminals. All this can lead to the huge losses.
Complexity- Just a small glitch in the operations of mobile phones and laptops can lead
to cost of both expense and time.
Social Disconnect- People nowadays are engaged in communicating more via digital
communication and they have started ignoring the real-life contact. This has led to the
feeling of isolation and disconnect.
Fake personas- With the increasing scope of digital infrastructure it has become very
easy for the individuals to hide their identities. Stalking, threatening, trolling all these
have dramatic increase with the use of internet in today's scenario. There are more
chances of phishing and frauds since the internet banking has been introduced.
Over dependency on electronic gadgets- With the increasing impact of digital

Task 5: Risks associated with information systems
outsourcing and why is IT infrastructure so critical to
digital transformation!
Risks associated with information systems outsourcing
Risk of outsourcing IT services.
1. Risk involved if Employees have no experience: In every organization if IT
department is no experience of their job then it will be the chances of risk happen into
the company. If an organization hire new candidate with the reference of internal staff
members then they can organize interview for them. But this technique only work when
the company check the level of experience of the new candidates.
2. Losing of power: If an organization send its IT information system for the running and
growth of the business to another company, then the organization lose its control for
running the functions of information system. When the seller receive the outsourcing
information system and place it into a fine position if the client has to receive everything
the seller does, and also receive the seller fees. If the seller have the only choice for the
organization to running and developing its information system. They must receive any
technology supplied by the seller (Ramasamy, Gomathy and Verma, 2019).
3. Invisible expenses: Sometimes the decrements of cost is beyond the information
system of outsourcing. Basically the long run cost deposits and premature cash flows
advantages are promised. It can be say that current expenses is same as the vendor
expenses and learning curves can be construct in future expenses plans.
4. Weakness of strategic details: In some cases the company information and secrets of
the organization may leaked to the competitors in the way of information outsourcing
system. If an organization permit the seller to create a application for certain competitive
benefits, then in that case leakage of data can damage the information of the company.
5. Organization dependency on seller: In the company information system outsourcing
completely dependent on their sellers. Sometimes a seller with financial related
problems and declining of services may create serious problems for its customer. So, in
that case company need to communicate with the seller on the consequence of the

Why is IT infrastructure so critical to digital transformation!
Organization dependency on sell IT infrastructure is critical to digital
transformation.
Here are some critical points of IT infrastructure which create a barrier for digital transformation:
Use of old data: In this point a very big barrier of digital transformation is using outdated
data in the company and lack of standard information.
Implementation and strategic plans are not connected with each other: This is one of the
very big challenge for the manager to convey the strategy to employees in the
organization because without conveying the plan employees can't execute or not getting
how to perform the task. Sometimes because of the lack of information strategy and
execution of the plan not connected.
Not able to implement experiments faster: In this point company try trial and error
method so, because of using this method company try to implement various techniques
which are suitable and best use of the method and because of that company delayed to
apply experiments quickly.
Inner culture of the organization: This point also become a big barrier for the digital
transformation. Internal culture of the organization also matters for the growth and
development of company in long run.
Inadequate system: Sometimes companies use internal tools or productivity solutions to
handle the process of business. Basically from strategy to execute the plan. This also
becomes the barrier of digital transformation (Reddy and Mehta, 2019).
Conclusion
The report takes in account the working of Moodle and Ms office in the business and
how DSS, TPS, ESS, MIS, KSM would help business to run in environment. It also counts the
explanation of globalization and what the related effects of it on running and functioning of
company in competitive world. It also counts advantage and disadvantage of digital
infrastructure. It can be concluded that there are many effects that would help in running of firm.

execution of the plan not connected.
