1. What is a network protocol?
The network protocol is a set of rules for the communication between two nodes in a network.
It provides access control to the user for data and other things. There are various protocols
used for the data transmissions in network architecture model, such as HTTP, DHCP, FTP,
IP, ARP, TCP, UDP, SMTP, and many more (Sunshine, 2013).
2. Which medium enables the fastest data communications?
Optical fiber is the fastest way for data transmission and communication. There are various
other mediums available for data communication for long-distance, such as wireless network,
satellite network, and many others. Optical fiber provides fast access to data, as it uses light
for communication, which is fast from other mediums (Tanenbaum, 2014).
3. What does it mean to cleanse the data before it is stored in a data warehouse?
Data warehouses have used for the storage of large amounts of data. Therefore, it is
necessary to clean the unwanted data, which can decrease the speed of data access. Many
tools have used tools for cleaning the data, which has gathered from various data sources,
such as databases, flat files, and unstructured data sources (Chowdhury, 2014).
