Part 1- Situation 2: Route Planner
The new mobile app that is launched is route planner and is connected with other GPS
applications such as GMap and others. So, for this internet connectivity is always needed for
accessing the business environment. As there are vast number of food deliveries done at the same
time, there will be vast amount of data and for managing the data proper data mining should be
included in the application data base system (Breeze, 2019). The system should have proper data
redundancy for the information that are stored in the system. After fetching the data of other
delivering companies, proper crowdsourcing is to be done to distribute the data to the system to
find best route.
As the company is thinking of expanding the Route Planner to other delivering service,
they should improve their big data implementation. There should be hyper local context
implemented in the application so that customer experience can be improved and that would help
to bring efficiency in marketplace (Harasim, 2017). The application Route Planner includes
geographical datasets. The web mapping that is used for this application include web mapping
that includes web browser and proper client service interaction should be established to have
proper service.
The application should include GIS analysis and the geo-data should be static provision
and are to be updated from time to time (Ku et al., 2019). There should be real-time tracking
system in the Route Planner and customer should be able to track the location of the delivery
person. Proper security should also be implemented in the system because the system will deal
with vast amount of data.
