INTRODUCTION
Career plan can be defined as the planning of a career growth and development for a
student so that they can be developed and build up their personal and professional plan for living
better life standard as it helps the student to enhance their life in a more improved manner
(Plasman, 2018). The following discussions are made on the choosing the area of interested field
from various different choices such as marketing, finance, human resources, information
technology, international business, accounting for project management and many more,
performing career planning with graphs for justifications followed by the skills and abilities
required for the plan chosen with possible challenges and overcoming them with proper
conclusion.
MAIN BODY
Professional field
I have chosen my career interest in information technology. It can be defined as the
gaining of knowledge in technology where technical devices like computer systems, software,
hardware, networks, internet and many more are highly required to learn and use the technology
(Motley and McMullin, 2020). There are various domains in IT which a student can pursue such
as software development, website development, hardware specialist, hacking, cyber security and
many more domains which are essential to have the basic and deep knowledge to make the
career in the field of IT. I have chosen this field because I have a keen interest in technology and
moreover in today's world, IT is growing at a very fast pace because the world is becoming more
of digitised rather than manual or physical working which means dependence on technology is
increasing day by day that is why I chose to make my career in information technology
(Eryılmaz and Kara, 2017).
Analysing career planning
Career planning in the field of information technology which I can think about and follow
the same in a very effective and efficient manner can be I am aiming to plan to gain the IT
training and certifications of basic knowledge, obtaining professional degree in IT field, gaining
theoretical and practical knowledge both to clear the concepts very deeply, gaining the skills and
abilities related to the course, applying and performing in the real time companies in the form of
internships or on job training for practical implementation of what has studied in theory because

this will give the experience of working in IT so that I can be enhanced and improved to work as
a professional (Jacquin and Juhel, 2017). Moreover, along with such plan, I will target to practice
and practice more by rehearsing the practical execution of IT at my own place for furnishing and
refining my skills followed by gaining the qualities of personal development as well such as
communication skills, time management, basic mannerism and etiquettes and many more for
overall growth and development of myself (Plasman, 2018).

abilities are important, software testing and dubbing skills are required, problem solving skills,
logical thinking qualities, written and verbal communication, team work, resume building,
interviewing skills and the ability of learning more and more without stopping because
technology is a concept which updates in every minute (Bray, 2020). Therefore, innovative and
out of the box thinking is highly needed to accomplish the career path (Kimura, Nomura,
Shinmori and Imanaga, 2017).
Identification of possible challenges
Challenges that can hinder the career path of software developer can be the designing and
infrastructure of the project that is to be work on, outcomes and expectations development can be
the major problem, assurance of quality hindrances, standards of quality which are undefined,
adapting trends of the market which are latest and recently developing and growing, high
influences in designing methods, integration within system and application of an organization,
managing the project which is highly dynamic in nature and requires very frequent updating
techniques, duplication of testing environment so that copyright and patent issues cannot be
created in similar ideas and the most important risk is the information technology security and
making the infrastructure which is highly secure so that development of software can be safe and
secure for using (Savickas, 2018).
Ways of overcoming challenges
There are various ways of overcoming the challenges which are associated with career
plan such as keeping things simple which means that not doing things which aren't important for
that particular time period, by following the developing standards which is already established,
getting proper feedback from peers, testing the work as I go forward in development, investing in
domain that is in functional knowledge of the core area, keeping pace with changing technology,
continuous learning, stay focused in gaining knowledge and exploring the same and establishing
the resources of learning (Gray, Kim and Lee, 2020).
CONCLUSION
It is concluded that career plan is an important task for every student to direct their life
and to know that where the life is heading to not only in terms of professionalism but personally
as well. That is why it is necessary to choose a career interest, it is essential to analyse the career
planning, it is significant to illustrate graphs for career maps, it is important to identify

competencies, skills and abilities required for the chosen career plan, it is necessary to examine
the possible challenges that can come in following the career the plan and determining the
overcoming ways of such challenges. This report covers the same areas of learning so that
student can have the clear picture of it's career plan and path in it's life for better living.
