Emerging technologies in Medical Science
There are so many types of computer systems, which are helpful for medical science.
Following systems are used for medical science; mainframe computers, minicomputers, Personal
computers, laptops, tablets, and embedded systems. In present scenario, Internet is highly used in
every department for getting more benefits. Computer network is also used in the field of
medical science for better caring of patients. Mobile devices and wireless networking is basic
thing for every persona in current situation. There are so many softwares are helpful for doing
basic works in hospitals, such as word processing, spreadsheet, and web designing. Some
software is totally based for medical science, such as patient registration system, electronics
patient record, results reporting, and many more. Some information systems are created for
healthcare, such as clinical information system, nursing information system. These systems
provide many advantages to patients as well as nursing staff. It provides better access to
information, increased productivity, reduced costs, and improved reporting capability.
Computer science is so helpful for development of different systems with the help of
hardware and softwares. It makes different systems for helping the different departments, such as
business, medical, education, tourism, and many more. However, some are having lot of things
for betterment in services, such as education and medical science. Medical science is having
many systems for treatment, which are using information technology, such as registration
system, risk management system, and E-prescribing. Some systems are helping in observation of
patients and some are helpful for different task related to the patients as well as for medical
services (Curnow, 2017).
Smart technologies are highly used for healthcare in medical science. Smart technology is
an embedded system that provides solutions of different problems in an optimized way with high
efficiency. It provides basic things, which are required for care of patient and manage databases
for completing all things in proper way without any error. It provides different benefits to the
clinicians, as well as patients and families.
Currently, few hospitals and medical Centre adopts smart technology, but it will increase
in future. There are so many fields for enhancing research for better healthcare, such as smart

pumps, physician order entry, barcode scanning devices, and survey of patient experiences (Xie,
