INTRODUCTION
The academic writing is known as educational writing. In academic writing all the rules
and regulation of college or university are full filled by the student. The reference used in any
study or report shows the sources which are used in collect the information of related topic. The
brief is provided in report to mention the references in academic study report. The method of
citation of references is explained in report (Dirgeyasa and Hum, 2017). The information is
provided to use excel spread sheet to present budget. The method to use power point presentation
is given in report.

information. The sources which are used in academic writing are mentioned in the end of
academic report. There are different rules are used in Harvard referencing style.
In Harvard references are starts with the Sur name of author and then the initial of their
name is mentioned. In condition of multiple author the names and initials are used after commas
and “and”. If the number of author is more than three then the name of first author is written in
start and for remaining author “et. al” is used. After the name of author the year of paper or book
publication is written after comma. The name of paper, book or journal is written after the full
stop. The name of book is written in italic form and each word starts with capital letter. The field
of research is also considered in the reference (Babcock and Thonus, 2018). The page number of
book or journal is also mentioned in the references which are source of information for academic
report. Then after the page number the range of relative information is considered in the last of
reference.
It is essential to evaluate the use of primary and secondary source reference to support the
reader. Avoid the plagiarism in the report is also an important thing. There are certain places
where the books and journals are paraphrase, summarised and directly quoted needs citation of
source. At the place where the citation needs in academic report should be identified to mark
