Strategic management can be defined as in that field of management which involve
the formulation and implementation of policies related to achievement of different goals and
objective of organisation so that the top level management of the organisation can operate the
firm by considering all resources together and achieving maximum satisfaction within the
organisation by the performance. strategic management can be defined as in that field of
management which involve the formulation and implementation of policies related to
achievement of different goals and objective of organisation so that the top level management

Information system: Information system in context of organisation can be defined as
social technical or organisation system which is formulated primary for collecting processing
storing and distributing the information within the organisation related to its customer as well
as other factors related to sales of the product (Chang, 2016). In relation to the organisation
information system defined as a task, people, structure and technology. Information system
can also define as an academic study which involves a system with specific reference to the
technology which involves hardware and software as a people which are used to collect filter
and process the different data related to the customers within the organisation and distributing
and using the data according to the needs and requirements.
Information technologies: It is that part of management which is used to compute, to
store, retrieve, transmit and manipulate the data and information in the form of technology by
the use of computer application. Because it help in various contest the business operations but
personalizing and increasing their use for the organisation and identify the customer
behaviour.
Why is information system and information technology strategy important to organisation?
It is important for every organisation involved information system and information
technology organisation so that it can improve at various level. In context of Tesco,

advantage because it reduce the chances of conflict as well as help in increasing the output of
the organisation by implementing low amount of inputs in the form of resources.
Business operation management: Operation management within the organisation is
also dependent on the effectiveness and capability of information system used by the firm.
This is because by the use of a effective information system and technology within the
organisation or organisation can identify various kind of information which are in recent and
complete nature. This will allow the organisation to perform at effective level and can
increase the efficiency of different individuals but collecting the information in complete
manner and managing it for use in future times (Soler, Melero and Luzón, 2017) . In relation
to Tesco, organisation follower proper operational management information system which
enables the manager of the organisation to increase the chances of cost advantage as well as
defeating the competitors by differentiating the product of the organisation and increasing the
output from its services. organisation use a proper sales data information system which
provide It inside about the different customer buying habit and creating a customer persona
so that it can easily manage the behaviour of customer and produce the products which will
satisfy the needs of customer identification of the behaviour. This also helps in recording the
sales within the organisation and identifying the actual profit which will help in information
system management and will seem like the operation of the organisation. This is the reason
behind implementing a proper information system strategy within the organisation so that
form in easily manage its operation in current business environment as well as plan for its
future business operations.
Help in decision making: By adopting proper information technology and systems
strategy within the organisation. Organisation can also enjoy the benefit of effective decision
making process. This is because adoption of information system can help the organisation in
managing better decisions by identifying and delivering all the information which is needed
by the organisation and can lead to effective decision making. A proper information system
will help in in making effective decisions which will choose the course of action for

system strategies which can help me in achieving its goals and objective in an appropriate
manner. But because of some management drawbacks sometime this strategy can also impact
negatively because of improper implementation and formulation before using information
system and technology. It can impact on different function of the organisation which is
discussed below:
Impact on human resources: if organisation doesn't follow the proper information
system and technology strategy within the organisation then it will face a negative impact on
the human resources of the organisation (Greve and Man Zhang, 2017). This is because HR
manager require a proper system and software which will help in in identification of different
resources as well as managing the human resources by recording their data in relevant
software. If organisation doesn't follow proper strategy regarding information technology and

human resources and identification of various related factors. HR manager will face difficulty
in managing communication with the human resources as well as also face difficulty in
recording the transactions and database for the human resources of the organisation which

Customer dissatisfaction: If organisation doesn't follow up good information

behaviour and modifying the product of the organisation according to the needs and

Australia, organisation is performing its function from longer period of time where it used to
collect the information regarding different customers in its database identification of their

organisation doesn't follow a good strategy then it has to face difficulty and identifying the

organisation on its different products and acquiring of these products and services. Prior to
opting this strategy, organisation is facing large number of difficulties in managing different
operations within the organisation because organisation has to use manual records which are
not appropriate for identification of each and every cost which is implemented on the
products and services offered by the organisation and different operations (Warter and
Warter, 2017). This impact negatively on the profit of the organisation as company is not able
to show the actual profit because of unidentified cost related to the manual errors. The
adoption of information technology Strategy Company used to get benefits related to
recording of each and every cost implemented on the products and services and now able to

products and services.
Improper decision making: The major problems faced by the organisation which
can impact negatively on the decision making of the firm is that if it is not use a proper
information system strategy. Use of information strategy will directly in able the organisation
to make effective decision by choosing from different concepts related to a business
organisation or a particular situation (Ren and Li, 2017). For improving the decision of the
organisation and managing a successful business it is mandatory for the manager within the
organisation to formulate a proper information technology and system strategy which will
directly deliver benefits to the organisation in context of decision making. Formulation of
effective decision-making can be established between the organisations by the help of
different information but if these systems are not following within the organisation then it can
impact on the decision-making process and delete to the satisfaction in the employees as well
as irrelevant decision for different scenarios. In relation to Tesco, the organisation has its
existence at global level and there are various situations within the organisation where it has
to adopt up proper alternative from different alternative available to the organisation
(Elhachemi and Ahmadc, 2018). For managing a proper communication and coordination
organisation is using information technology and systems so that it can manage coordination
between different departments and make effective decisions related to the performance of
employees. This is possible because of use of proper strategy related to information system
and information technology within the organisation.

information technology play an important role within the organisation for increasing the
performance of the firm as well as achieving the goals and objectives in an appropriate
