real estate development sector of Maldives. This study has considered different sections, which
are known as the introduction, literature review, research methodology, and project plan. The
introduction section could support to comprehend the reason for selecting this study, research
aim and objectives, and research hypothesis. The literature review of this report supports to
critically examine the role of politics in infrastructure and real estate development in the
Maldives.
The research methodology section supports selecting a suitable method to effectively conducting
this study. In this, the survey through questionnaire method has been considered by the
researcher. This study will be conducted on the 30 politicians from the different regions of
Maldives and obtain the information towards the matter. The project plan will lead to the decided

Research Philosophy
The researcher will use the interpretive philosophy for investigating the role of politics in
infrastructure and real estate development of the Maldives, which is operative to resolve research
issues by developing an individual understanding. This also assisted the researcher to respond to
the research topic and also effectively attain the study objective. This also helped the researchers
to describe the result using people's beliefs. Due to the research nature, the theory of positivism
is not included as it permits to get real data but this method could be more complex and time-
consuming. Hence, this method will not be considered. For this analysis, the correlation between
two or even more quantities is not needed. Besides this, there is one more reason for avoiding the
realism philosophy because it focuses on the present environmental beliefs which develop the
effect-and-cause relation between variables, which is unsuitable for the research (Gray, 2019).
Research Approach
The researcher will practice the deductive methodology to perform this work efficiently as
opposed to the inductive method. This is because a deductive approach will allow the researcher
to define the relationship between politics and the development of infrastructure and real estate.
The researcher also allowed the development of hypotheses, which would not be possible with
the use of the deductive approach. From the application of this tool, the investigator will be

capable to effectively make the research hypothesis based on the collected information. This
supported to resolve the issues effectively (Snyder, 2019).
Research Strategy
The researcher will use survey methods to attain the research goals for performing this literature
review. The survey method is useful for the researcher to collect relevant, reliable information
and knowledge concerning the role of politics in infrastructure and real estate development of
Maldives. The survey by questionnaire allowed the researchers to gather participant views
regarding the role of politics in infrastructure and real estate development of Maldives. The
researcher by the case study approach collected the organization's actual-time information
concerning the research matter (Reilly and Jones III, 2017).
Data Collection Method
In this study, both primary and secondary data collection will be considered by the researcher.
This is because the researcher will be able to fill gaps between relevant data and real data needs
by using the data collection methods. This secondary data will be gathered by accessing existing
tools such as papers, books, journals, official reports, authentic websites, and annual reports.
The primary data will be obtained by using the questionnaire approach while applying a survey.
This allowed a researcher to acquire enormous data and knowledge from the specified participant
and examine this information to produce accurate and reliable research-related outcomes (Basias,
and Pollalis, 2018).
Sampling Method
Probability sampling including a random selection approach that is used for this research project
as contrasted with non-probability sampling. This is because the researcher allowed the
participants to be chosen randomly through probability screening, which also removed the biases

towards choosing respondents for the study. The researcher will select 20 politicians from the
different regions of Maldives and understand the role of politics in infrastructure and real estate
development of Maldives. As a result, the researcher allowed the validity and reliability of
research to be improved as the chosen samples helped significantly in completing research goals
and objectives (Taherdoost, 2017).
Data Analysis Method
Analysis of data is a method used to view and analyze data to discover useful information. It is
important in the successful attainment of the study goals. The researchers could use various
methods of data analysis like statistical analysis, verbal analysis, conceptual/content analysis,
and divulgation analysis to better analyze the collected data and produce accurate and consistent
results (Cuervo‐Cazurra, et al., 2017).
The researcher will consider statistical methods for investigating the role of politics in
infrastructure and real estate development of Maldives. Under this methodology, the accurate
results are obtained with SPSS with MS-Excel tools. To obtain the findings, the correlation test,
t-test, regression, and other statistics are carried out during the context of data mining. The SPSS
program allowed the researcher to make the analysis more efficient by generating an innovative
outcome presentation.
Ethical Consideration
In the sense of this study, ethical consideration relates to researching an ethical and meaningful
manner, concerning the university research regulations. The researcher adopted an ethical
approach to achieve the research analysis to prevent ethical problems, which allowed the
researcher to perform the work securely. The researcher often concerned with proper referencing,
exclusion of plagiarism and misuse of data throughout this research report, etc. The researcher
