AI Summary
This report presents a reflective analysis of lessons learned in the PPMP20008 course, focusing on initiating and planning projects. The report begins with an introduction to reflective practice and its importance in project management. It then outlines a lessons learned framework, detailing the processes of data collection, analysis, and storage. The core of the report comprises three key lessons: time management, conflict resolution, and handling multiple tasks. Each lesson includes a description of the situation, the student's feelings, and what was learned. Improvement strategies are proposed for each lesson, detailing how the student plans to address the identified challenges, along with measurement methods, achievability, relevance, and timing. The report concludes by emphasizing the significance of project management planning and the utilization of lessons learned to improve future project outcomes. References to supporting literature are also included.

PMMP 20008 – Initiating and Planning Projects Assignment 3
1. IntrODUCTION (2 marks)
The learning achieved from the experience is known as reflective practise. It helps
in transferring insights into strategies that can be used in practical application. Crucial
attention has to be paid to the discussion in order to analyse the subject for the
reflective practises (Cottrell, 2019). This is a continuous process where information has
to be gathered from everywhere so that proper conclusion can be reached. While
performing a project, there are certain steps that are followed. While going through
them many things can be learned which can be utilized in other phases of the project
life-cycle. Proper documentation of the lesson learned helps in recurrence of desired
outcomes and prevent risk occurrence in the organisation. In this report, lesson
learned in project management is discussed along with lessons learned from guides
involved.
2 LESSONS LEARNT: FRAMEWORK (6 marks)
2.1 Lessons learnt framework explained
.
The project manager is the person responsible for a project and the lesson learned
from the project is utterly important for the project manager to predict the probable
risk in a project or to retain the desirable outcomes from a project. A framework is
established after properly analyzing the situations arising in a project (Lientz &
Rea, 2016).
A frame work of the Lesson learned is provided here consisting of three Levels:
Level 1: Process of Lesson Learned
This level consists of the five steps of the Lesson Learned mechanism. They
are namely, defining the project, collection of data, verification and synthesis of
data, storage of data and lastly dissemination of the data (Ferrada et al., 2016).
Level 2: Evaluating the Repository of the Lessons Learned
This process consists of two parts, they are process of evaluation of the data
and creating reports based on them.
Level 3: Metrics
This is the final process where the data collected from the level 1 and 2 are
put to use for the complete analysis of the project outcomes and lessons that are
learned from them so they can be used for future projects.
This is framework that is followed in a project management in general for the
betterment of performance and learning form the mistakes from the previous
project (Cleden, 2017).

The work was

peers.
The strategy
worked as the

faced a problem of
handling multiple task.
Often the people were out

Proper project
charter was
created in order
to maintain a
track of the
activities
(Kerzner, 2018).
The strategy
works as the
updates can be
seen in the
charter regularly.
It is achievable
with the help of
the professors.
The task can be
completed,
which was the
main constraint
of the third
lesson.
The strategy
must be
implemented
since the
