INTRODUCTION
Innovation involves the examples of new ideas, looking at things in new ways, and new
products that offer value. Innovation refers to the conception of output or doing something
differently. Successful innovation helps the business organization in increasing profits by adding
value. The innovation helps in gaining more customers and a large share of the market. The
enterprise defi to the procedure of determining the several chances for business in the aim of
profit earning and brings competitive advantage to the workplace (Bing, F., 2020). The
entrepreneur defines the person which takes initiative to start a new venture. Enterprise
innovation is an organizational process that helps in introducing new ideas, methodologies,
services & products. The report will discuss the knowledge and skills required to be an innovator
along with evaluating personal performance as an innovator. Further, it considers opportunities
for developing & improving innovative practices.
MAIN BODY
Knowledge and skills required to be an innovator
The innovator refers to a person which can develop ideas and create an environment
where employees offer tools and resources to achieve growth. The innovator is a real leader that
helps the organization in building a dynamic, highly productive, and value-based organization by
hiring talented people who are passionate about respect for their work and offering growth
opportunities. The employees in the organization are also made feel appreciated and respected,
by making them clear regarding their roles and responsibilities through the leader (Cao, and
Chen, 2018). To be an effective innovator it is essential to have knowledge of innovation which
helps in developing tools and leveraging the innovation process in an organization. There are
several skills and knowledge which is required by an entrepreneur to become a successful
innovator which are as follows-
Observant- As innovators, they might get valuable ideas by adjusting to their
surroundings. The inherent affinity of the inventor to observe and absorb is not limited to
office space. Consumers are more likely to encounter innovators outside of the
workplace, allowing them to see behavioral shifts and current trends in a real-world
setting.

Curiosity- A great inventor is naturally curious, continuously wondering, and
questioning to discover and drive learning. The innovations in this ask questions about
motives, criticize present methods, and develop fresh perspectives. Curiosity allows
innovators to be open-minded because it is linked to innovation (Jüngling, and et.al.,
2018).
Networking- The most successful entrepreneurs are always well-connected. Their natural
curiosity and liking for asking questions make them excellent conversation starters and
listeners—two crucial networking characteristics. The best networks are made up of
people from many walks of life and industries. This diversity exposes innovators to a
variety of methodologies and ways of thinking, helping them to have an open mind and
broaden their knowledge base. To develop a wide range of fresh ideas and opportunities,
innovators can connect with a vast network of talented people.
Experimentation- Disruptive attracts innovators because they see possibilities for
experimentation everywhere. They are continuously experimenting and putting new ideas
to the test, with no respect for the existing quo. This method of exploration can lead to
unexpected discoveries and new opportunities. While experiments are unlikely to yield
immediate results, innovators see long-term rewards and opportunities for growth.
Evaluating personal performance as an innovator
I had to develop the ideas and make them a reality as an innovator. Working as an innovator
taught me a lot about innovation. Change is what drives innovators. Organizations prioritize
stability and consistency over change, which can hinder innovation. Therefore, innovators
recognize that innovation is the only way to stay competitive in the market (Kalaman, Volodina,
and Mandrikin, 2018). While making big discoveries and advancing society, innovators take
risks, which pushes others to do the same, resulting in the motivation of new ideas and the ability
to learn from failure, allowing for growth. Because inventing is all about issue solving, which
begins with a vision, I was able to solve the challenge by using my imagination.
Opportunities for developing and improving innovative practices
Innovative thinking skills- This ability to come up with new ideas and innovative
approaches to issues is a must-have for innovators. This allows you more creativity and
flexibility. It's a demanding task that includes coming up with fresh solutions to problems
or procedures. Innovative thinking produces results that question or upsets the existing

quo. This includes developing new ways of thinking in the workplace to boost employee
and customer satisfaction.
Written presentation skill- This skill is also important as an innovator because the
audience will listen rather than read, concise lines and a simple structure are required.
The presentation structure's flow guides the audience through ideas that assist them to
conclude. Presentation abilities are the ability to deliver successful and interesting
presentations to a variety of audiences.
Critical thinking- This is a vital talent for an inventor since it aids in improving
workplace functions by critically considering the reasons behind company processes.
Critical thinking assists in analyzing situations and identifying places for improvement,
which aids in keeping a growth-oriented mindset (McDowell, and et.al., 2018).
Time management skills- The ability to manage time effectively and meet deadlines is
known as time management. Time management skills can help you allocate time and
complete tasks more efficiently. One of the most important qualities linked with efficient
time management is organization and prioritization.
CONCLUSION
From the above, it can be concluded that entrepreneurs require innovation to generate ideas
that add value and enhance procedures. Innovation is a valuable asset in the workplace since it
aids in problem-solving and advances knowledge. Taking risks, exploring new chances, and
setting aggressive goals can all help you enhance your innovation skills.
