Project
AI Summary
This project presents a solution to the INNOVA assignment, focusing on innovation and entrepreneurship principles. The assignment requires students to identify a consumer product or service and develop innovative solutions using the design thinking methodology. The student utilizes the random stimuli technique to generate five new ideas for improving a chosen product or service, providing sketches to illustrate each idea. The best idea is selected and justified based on its feasibility and potential impact. The project also includes a business viability test, outlining the steps to evaluate the proposed strategies. Furthermore, the project discusses the key issues in the design process, including the impact on end-users, price, competition, and environmental implications. The student explores the use of hybrid design technology and enhanced 4-wheel dynamo in the context of automotive innovation. The project culminates in a conclusion that emphasizes the role of technology in shaping development and suggests how the study's findings can be used to design state-of-the-art vehicles, ensuring faster and in-depth learning infused with intrinsic motivation of learners.

Innovation & Entrepreneurship 2
The world is undergoing a quiet revolution that is transforming all the operations both in the
subsistence and in commercial sector. Moto vehicle designers are normally faced with the challenge of
inventing the most comfortable automobile, and designing the most pocket friendly vehicle. Information
technology is slowly but steadily changing the manner in which man carries out his tasks. Besides, it has
turned the world into a global village where people must be updated of trending technology on a regular
basis to stay abreast in terms of competition. Most importantly, commodities that are being consumed as
luxuries need more attention since individual who are trendy and fashion-driven often purchases them.
Widespread concern and pragmatic efforts have been made not just to bridge the gap between market
demands for advanced technology in automobiles but to fill the voids for expertise in the industry in terms
of intelligence to ensure tailor-made gadgets are fitted in vehicles.
Key issues in the design process
1. Impact of the design on the health of the end-users
2. Price of the product and the cost of production
3. Existence of competition in the market
4. The rules governing such innovations in the country
5. Aesthetic value of the product and implications on the environment
6. Decision whether to implement it as an intermediary or end-product.
7. Availability of spare-parts and maintenance cost
To come up with a solution to the issues affecting the development of technology in the modern
world, we must have a different framework of thoughts. Albert Einstein who remarked that, “We cannot
solve our problems with the same thinking we used while creating them”, holds the same opinion.
To come up with a vehicle that can be admirable for seasons, the following modifications are
necessary;

Innovation & Entrepreneurship 3
1. Should be light in weight: the materials to be used for designing the body of the vehicle
should be very light. Heavy vehicles normally high fuel consumption rates and move slowly even on plain
surfaces.
2. The vehicle should be small: The speed of locomotives depends largely on the size and shape
of the model. Large volumes face much resistance from the friction caused in the air while small sizes face
less friction. Buyers like small size vehicles in case they need speedy cars.
3. Using the hybrid design technology: the vehicle should be redesigned using a mixed strategy
whereby the desired qualities of the existing makes are blended together to come up with a perfect vehicle.
For instance, adopting features which make the hammer strong and those that make Volkswagen cheap.
4. The vehicle should be designed with a direct and port fuel injection for auto stop/start
functions. This comes at the core of modern-day innovation in designing the most economical vehicle that
is fashionable and economical for middle-class users as well as high-income earners.
5. The vehicle should be designed with enhanced 4-wheel dynamo: In this craft, the exchange of
impulse between the wheels is automated and requires no human intervention during times of emergency.
According to the designers of this technology, whenever the vehicle detects any disjointed or
misconception in any wheel, it balances the weight in the vehicle proportionately to the areas where
stability is guaranteed (Byrne et al., 2019). The breaks that are applied automatically have torques that
brings a fine tilth to the tire patches to ensure comfort even during emergency.

Model for improving a state-of-the art Moto vehicle: Figure 1 (online diagram, Byrne et al., 2016)
The best idea
Designing the vehicle with enhanced 4-wheel
Justification for the choice of the best idea
Efficiency: the idea behind this design is to ensure reduction in mental effort and mechanical energy
used to steer the vehicle. This makes the vehicle ideal for all ages, whether you are young and energetic or
old and tired.
Convenience: with this design, the operator as well as his passengers may not even feel that there
has been a change on transit speed or position during emergency. The vehicle will have the ability to move
even in areas where an ordinary vehicle steers clear.
Emergency preparedness: driving on the road is as dangerous as working in a war-torn area.
However careful you are, you may be bungled over by other road users at any time. Likewise, there are
always impending dangers resulting from destruction of roads by unscrupulous road users (Mills et al.,
2018). With this design, one is always prepared for any eventuality and may be rescued from danger just
from the manner in which the vehicle is designed

Business Viability Test
These is done through testing proposed strategies by considering both their feedback on the proposals
and use the opportunity to gain more empathy (Gostin & Wiley, 2016).
The process begins by you letting the potential users to experience the prototype by giving them just
a brief hint of the story.
Secondly, have them talk through their experience as you keenly observe the responses and noting
down points of interest.
Finally, ask questions and let the respondents list all their concerns. React to the issues brought up
and then conduct a robust follow up of the findings.
Figure 2: business viability model: (adapted from Gostin and Wiley, 2016)

carried out during distribution and those involved in the customer relations strategies.

2. This phase discusses the most effective channels for meeting the customer segment
requirements.
3. Specifies the value that the organization will offer to the potential customers
4. Specifies the key resources needed by the organization to deliver value propositions
5. This phase specifies to whom the value proposition will be directed. It answers the question,
“what is the customer composition, distribution and preference?”
Conclusion
Cui et al. (2016) pointed out that technology shapes the conduct of development in a tremendous
way. To him, everything in modern world revolves around modern developments. Producers of auto spares
and all stakeholders in the car assembly industry therefore, can use this study to design a state-of-the art
vehicle that can guarantee a commanding lead in the market for vehicles. Furthermore, the ideas generated
in this discourse ensure faster and in-depth training infused with intrinsic motivation of learners. This is
why most trainers undertake to make the education process learner centered.
